This hostel is one of the best - comfortable, well-planned, welcoming, inexpensive of course, and staffed by some really nice people. It's only 10 minutes' walk from the Cathedral and city centre. It's a lovely old house but refitted to modern standards (I really liked the light, power socket and shelf for your phone/device by each bed - not something...

I found the rooms to be clean, quiet and comfortable. The rooms have large lockers in to safely stow away your belongings (there wasn't one for every bed in my dorm 2:1) Self-catering facilities are available on the lower floor and breakfast is provided at a cost (I self-catered). There are shops and takeaways nearby; within walking distance and the...

Everything was good. Information, hours for check in and out, equipped kitchen we had dinner there. Close to centre of town, walk distance. Unfortunately on a main street with traffic and very noisy in early morning.

I really enjoyed my stay at YHA Canterbury. The facilities are clean, the rooms are of good size, and the beds are comfy. The hostal is in a great area and the staff are nice. Would have preferred a room away from the street though. It is a little noisy if you are a light sleeper! Just request a room...

We visited the south of England within two weeks with a family of four and stayed mainly in hostels by the YHA. This hostel was the hostel we came first and it was great: situated in a Villa in walking distance from town, it had all needed equipment, like Wi-Fi, TV, Bar, washing machine etc. Recently refurbished, (we had private...

Lovely hostel and very welcoming staff. Spent one night here to explore the sights of Canterbury before heading to Dover. Nice big spacious rooms and comfy beds glad I took my ear plugs so I couldn't hear the snorers in the room. Lovely communal area with WIFI so could watch a film on my iPad with my headphones in, Shame...

This hostel has recently had a complete refit and looks amazing! I loved sitting in the lounge in the early morning with my book and a cup of tea (made in the 'state of the art kitchen' downstairs)! The general manager and staff are very friendly and helpful and make it feel like a home-from-home. There are some parking spaces...

General manager (not sure of his name) really nice, friendly, helpful and chatty. Second time here and we had a 3.5year old too – stayed in Pippin Lodge and loved it just as much as the first, everything is really nice and clean and a great vibe and close to the city centre. Would highly recommend a stay here.

We have just come back from a few wonderful days in Canterbury. The staff were very welcoming and the room was very comfortable. Loos and showers were immaculate. The hostel is in walking distance of everything. Oh and free WiFi. Thank you YHA.
