We visited for an evening meal and didn't stay in the hotel. The meal was excellent, tasting delicious and arriving quickly. All members of staff were welcoming and clearly experienced and well trained. The dining area was busy, but didn't feel crowded - with tasteful decoration, warm lighting, and comfortable table spacing. Well worth a visit if you're on the look out for restaurant quality dining.

What a wonderful find! A beautiful comfy bedroom up under the eaves with a sensational bathroom. Excellent breakfast served on a tray to the room. Only negative is the steep rather rickety staircase to climb. But well worth the effort! We thoroughly enjoyed our night there and highly recommend. We also had dinner at the Corner House. The restaurant was very busy but we were looked after and served very promptly. Excellent choice of wines, very tasty gravlax and succulent shoulder of lamb. All staff extremely pleasant and friendly. We had a scrumptious evening.

We visited as a stop over en route to Europe. The hotel is in an old building. The staff are nice and accommodating, we were welcomed after a long drive. The room we had was very comfortable, called Becket. It was overlooking the garden, so quiet ( one small niggle, lots of unnecessary outside lights left on, so switch them off or get blackout blinds) we ate in the garden - it was superb! Some of the best, most imaginative food we have eaten this year. Great chef, well done! Will return.

Corner House is an an excellent location for walkers, since it’s within a short walking distance to the town centre. The room I stayed in was extremely clean and very comfortable! They had air-conditioning, which is very helpful during the Summer. The bathroom and bedroom were also a very good size, considering how most of the hotels in England have considerably small rooms due to space constraints. The breakfast gets served to your room every morning, and the croissants, bread, granola and yoghurt are delicious! The staff are also very helpful and friendly, and they made me feel very welcomed. If you get the chance to, definitely have lunch or dinner at the restaurant! The food is extremely fresh and the chef is very skilled!

The Corner House is a gem. It is classic with fantastic history but restored and very comfortable. The room we stayed in was spacious and well lit with corner windows, with modern amenities including a great shower and very comfortable bed with great pillows. The room was so much larger and more comfortable than usual hotels. Breakfast brought to the room every morning at 0830 was great, fresh bread, warm chocolate croissants, greek yogurt, orange juice, and apples - such a treat. And the coffee maker in the room is fast with enjoyable coffee. The Corner House is literally a 5 minute walk to High Street and 10 minutes to the Cathedral, we walked all over Canterbury from the hotel, which was lots of fun. Service was fantastic with polite professional people. Parking was easy, a few seconds walk to a public parking lot for which the hotel provides a coupon (I think 50% reduction). Highly recommended.

Enjoyable stay over 2 nights. Spacious room, Chaucer, which at quiet rear of building though occasionally were bursts of “generator” noise. Found breakfast delivery on first morning intrusive as did not realise they needed to enter room and not leave outside. High quality continental breakfast, but staying 2 nights, would have been nice to have had a tick box to tweak choices. Very helpful staff.

Fantastic hotel!! You’d think it would noisy when looking at its position but it was not at all. Spent a lovely weekend there. Beautiful, spacious, immaculate room with views of the Cathedral. Lovely, simply operated shower and piping water. The breakfast was an unusual homemade granola with even more unusual treacle bread toast which was extremely more-ish. All served in bed (or in your room). After such a good feeling about the place we ate in the restaurant on our last night and were not disappointed. My partner had belly pork which was delicious ( I wish I’d had it) I had a steak which was very tasty. Undoubtedly we will return again. Well done!

A great little hotel that is perfect for a romantic getaway. Despite the age of the historic building, the room was modern and comfortable. The staff were excellent and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely place situated in the heart of Canterbury but big big failure was the non existent hot breakfast. What a big big let down for a place that promotes the owners progress through his life as a chef with his book recipes only to serve us a boring breakfast that was so disappointing that its a failure for an establishment like this that promotes good food and after eating there the night before It was a lovely place that served excellent produce thar we were both looking forward to a lovely cooked breakfast that never materialised. Parking is charged at the back of the hotel but be careful with the 24 hour charges because that doesn't exist and you'll end up with a £25 fine I'd paid within a certain time. Overall lovely stay but for Christ sake chef Cook a hot breakfast for your customers or at least tell them you don't serve hot breakfasts and then customers like ourselves can choose to make a decision to find a room that does serve an hot breakfast and if you did do that I think you'd have more guests returning.

Good facilities. Room was clean with mod cons e.g. swipe card door, fridge in room, decent shower etc. Well presented and clean throughout. Unfortunately a lot of noise on stay. We purposely picked Chaucer room as had read quieter at back of building. We are both used to noise living in a city centre but unfortunately we were still awoken by it Could have forgiven that but the building noise, not mentioned anywhere on website or booking, was disappointing. We checked in and whilst enjoying our bubbly in room found a builder stationed outside our window on the first floor which was slightly embarassing. Next morning drilling and similar started before 9am. We read later the restaurant is being extended but is a shame they don't warn you of this work on booking Continental breakfast served to room and decent - just makes you slightly on edge awaiting a knock on the door sometime around 8.30am so you can't relax waking up. In our instance a conversation was instigated despite my partner clearly being in their underpants and breakfast offered to he dropped in the room while I was sat in bed. Kind but slightly intrusive. Overall room facilities good but bizarre they don't serve a proper breakfast in such a well regarded restaurant. Noise levels beyond what we felt tolerable especially building work and builders outside the window not declared at booking. Breakfast to the room good effort but strange in the context. Pleasant stay but wouldn't choose again. Impersonal experience, barely saw them unfortunately.
