We have stayed in this hotel about 10 times in the past 14 years we have visited Canterbury. They have refurbished the front of house and it did need it as the bar was underused and needed an update. They've done that really well BUT they haven't updated the rooms and now the hotel just doesn't work. The bar looks...

If you check in at a later time you will find the car park is full and you then have to find parking elsewhere, there are not enough spaces for the rooms available. One of the reasons I always booked this hotel was their car park. It has also undergone a massive refurbishment since my last visit. The cosy reception...

Chose a cosy room which we knew would be compact but perfectly adequate and a very comfy bed. Little bit noisy but it's a really old building so expected. Breakfast was really lovely and staff were really helpful. Absolute bargain and right in city so perfect for a night away in a really convenient location. We travelled by train and...

We have just spent 2 nights at The Falstaff, what a wonderful hotel. Rooms lovely and big, comfy bed and so cosy, all in keeping with the building. The bar down stairs is more modern and trendy, cocktails etc busy on a Tuesday and Wednesday night and seems the place to be. No Restaurant at the hotel but lovely breakfast....

I bought a voucher for my mum for mother's day for afternoon tea. The incompetent staff member printed the wrong date on it. I went back in 1 week later to point out the wrong date. The incompetent staff said it would not be a problem. Today I took my mum in to use the voucher. They refused to take...

We have stayed twice at the Falstaff, once in summer and once in winter; we love it for its friendly staff, handy car park (and also near the railway station), fantastic bar, copious breakfast, and brilliant location. Given the age of the property the rooms are good - quiet, spacious and clean (we stayed for both visits in the old...

The location of this hotel is great, it's not even a minutes walk to the main shops, and about five minutes to the cathedral, however it is on a main road that has traffic until about 10pm and starts up again in the morning, although I'm a heavy sleeper so this didn't bother me, but if youre woken easily, depending...

we travelled as 2 couples. One couple had a lovely room with a bath, tv and peace and quiet. We however were put in a box... there was no bath, the Tv remote didn't work and when we had this sorted we found the tv wouldn't face the bed so you had to stand to watch it!. The shaver point...

Our initial impression of the hotel was very good, with parking onsite and a great location. We arrived early and were able to park the car and start our shopping trip. When we checked into our rooms (room 1 and 2 , cosy doubles) we found everything really clean, the bathroom was sparkling. The room was quite small, which we...
