We only stayed for one night but found the bar very modern and welcoming. No evening meals available as it is in the centre of town and restaurants are just steps away front the front door. Afternoon tea looked yummy though. Our turret room was spotlessly clean on 2nd floor. Just be aware that due to the age of the...

We stayed over for one night to celebrate my wife's birthday. A great location and even somewhere to park the car.. The hotel is 400 years old and retains a lot of character although the interior is very modern. The bedroom was warm and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were pleasant and efficient and I can recommend...

I stayed for five nights here whilst singing at the cathedral. It was a mixed experience. After check in I carried my suitcase, briefcase, two suit bags and the days newspapers whilst the receptionist ( about 45 years younger than me, I would estimate) carried the credit card sized key. That's through the bar, across the car park around the...

Really nice hotel in the center of Canterbury, near the gate and the train station. Room with all the confort and with a big bathroom. Breakfast very well presented, with a lot of food (both prepared and cooked at the moment, maybe the boiled eggs sometimes are not so boiled, but it is only a small particular).

My friends and I really love the bar at Falstaff. We haven't stayed the night at the hotel because we are locals but tried the bar. We visited on a Saturday, it was full of people. Mostly young would say they were between 25 and 40, well dressed and respectable. It wasn't too loud, we could still hear each other...

An excellent hotel in all aspects. Shame like a lot of hotel's we booked in to find ourselves put in the annexe rather than the actual hotel although the room we had was excellent. The breakfast was exceptionally good, a choice of cereals toast or a full cooked English breakfast. Parking was at a premium, not a huge area but...

Really enjoyed the afternon tea. Service was a little lax. Heard a waiter saying to ask for a re fill if needed to another table but we were not offered this. Had to go to bar to ask for the bill as couldn't catch the eye of waiter. Very quiet as they were not busy but really enjoyed our afternoon...

Trust the Falstaff. Know we'll be welcome. Just a small room this time but space in the lounge in entertain guests. Looking forward to another visit. Good value, welcome, atmosphere, location, great wine list (ask the manager) reasons for return!

We stayed for one night. The location is perfect, you won't need to use your car to see the cathedral and surrounding shops and restaurants. The hotel car park is small, if it's full, and you can't park there, you're in trouble. The public areas of the hotel are modern and comfortable, we found the reception staff helpful and friendly....
