Detailed Reviews
Great Hosts, Heidi and Paul the owners are great. Can’t do enough and VERY accommodating.
The room is lovely, clean & dust free, it smells good to. I’d be more than happy to stay here again. The breakfast was freshly cooked with quality products not cheap & nasty, freshly baked croissants are to die for.
It’s a approximately a 10/15 mins walk in to the town. Which was no problem for us.
Good size parking spaces and it has cctv which makes you feel safe when arriving back late from the pub.
When I come to stay again, I’ll request a room upstairs as I’m a light sleeper and you can hear everything from the downstairs bedroom.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay with us. It was lovely having you! We weren't aware that noise traveled from the upstairs room and whilst we can't do too much it's good to know so we can advise people when booking rooms. Glad it didn't spoil your time with us. Hope we see you again soon Kind regards Heidi and Paul

Our hosts provided everything we could want, comfort and style with an awareness of care for the environment. The room and shower room were new and spotless, and there was plenty of choice for a quality breakfast. Off road parking was provided and the property was a convenient short walk into the town centre.

This place has everything you could want in a B&B: free off-road parking; a quiet location but still within walking distance of the city centre; beautifully decorated rooms (with safe, mini fridge, tea/coffee and filtered water); the ability to come and go easily. Heidi and Paul are wonderful hosts, welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. If you're new to Canterbury, they will be happy to provide you with directions and recommendations of places to eat/visit. Really looking forward to coming back.

I don’t usually bother writing reviews unless somewhere stands out for being really good or bad. This B & B was exceptional and I genuinely can’t fault our stay here. The room was cosy, spotless and had lots of lovely touches. We could refill our complimentary teas, biscuits & water without having to ask anyone and help ourselves to fresh towels when we needed them. The owners were really welcoming and the breakfast provided was lovely. They let us leave our car in the Car Park in the the day we checked out, which meant we could make the most of our stay. It was like staying in a Hotel / B & B that combine the best bits of both. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends who would normally consider me quite a fussy person!

One of the best B&Bs I have visited in a long time. Clean, comfortable and welcoming. No nonsense approach was also a plus.
Very little noise and availability of toiletries was great. Room was nicely decorated with bespoke touches.

Delicious breakfasts and super service from Heidi and Paul. This stunning b&b is faultlessly spotless, comfortable and nothing is too much trouble for the hosts. A great, quiet location close to the local Goodshed restaurant and farmer’s market and a shortish stroll into town.

We stayed at Harriet House for four nights, it was an excellent location being a 10 min walk into the centre and short drive to Walmer Castle (which I also recommend). Our hosts Paul and Heidi were so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean, comfortable and have everything that you need. Breakfast was excellent. Overall it was good value and exceeded our expectations.

We loved our three night stay here. B&B is handy for Canterbury West train station and an easy walk into the city centre - largely off road. Good welcome from friendly hosts. The room was recently refurbished and absolutely lovely. Bathroom was a little tight and the shower rather timid, but not a problem at all and all spotlessly clean. Beds really comfy and lovely views of the city. Great to have the fridge (with filtered water and real milk) and a proper coffee machine - lovely touch.. The breakfast was superb - lots of choice, generous portions, cooked to order and really high quality ingredients. Loved the dinner recommendations for local restaurants and the iPad on hand. Altogether a wonderful place to stay and I would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Harriet House. It is a perfect place to stay for a weekend in Canterbury. It is a mere 10 minute walk to the station for those getting off the train and I believe they have parking for those driving. The walk into Canterbury town centre was also very easy and not far at all. Canterbury is a lovely place to visit, especially the cathedral. Our room was very clean and very comfortable. The shower was hot and powerful, as was the coffee from the coffee machine in our room. The breakfast was a delight, served up by our friendly hosts. We chose the full English but other options are available. Strongly recommend Harriet House for anyone looking for a relaxing weekend away.

We had a lovely week stay here at Harriet House B&B - our room was spotless and bright/airey with all the amenities that you could wish for from the nespresso machine to the comfortable bed which each night gave us a great sleep. We were so pleased of the fan that was in the room as we were experiencing a mini heatwave during our stay so it helped to cool the room down as well as the blinds. Refreshments in the room were of a good standard (especially the biscuits and tunnocks teacakes - even if they did melt in the heat - thank goodness for the fridge!) Loved the idea of the cupboard full of everything that you could have to top up during the stay and avoided having to keep asking for it! The breakfasts were sublime especially the homemade pancakes which were delicious. The continental selection was great especially the pastries. Location is a 10/15 minute walk to both the centre of Canterbury and to the train station, Canterbury West. We parked our car and used it only once during our stay as it was so east to catch the train to the places we visited. Heidi and Paul are great hosts and we were very pleased to meet them and look forward to staying here again in the not too distant future.

Yes they are, and the hosts will provide more when you need them. Highly recommend .
They do have a TV, showers and twin beds if you request it (unless you are travelling as a pair which then of course ensures you having a double bed)
Best,
M.
