I had messed up our booking at another hotel and we found ourselves in desperate need of a room. We, therefore, booked a room here for £195, notwithstanding the cost. It seemed to be the last room in Canterbury. This small hotel has a splendid location and occupies a charming old building. It is clean and the bed comfortable. These... More

My partner and I had a one night stay here for a romantic weekend away. The owners were so welcoming when we arrived.. smiling and knowledgeable about things to do in the City and interested in us too. The location was excellent being a two minute walk to the Cathedral and Butterworths and it felt amazing to be amongst the... More

Wonderful one night stay at the Sun Hotel. Me and my Family stayed in the Marlowe - Family Suite and we have no complaints at all, It was clean and tidy with such cute features (the tilted window, beautiful beams and stunning views of the cobbled streets. Although when booking this room it didn't state that the family room had... More

This was a last minute booking and I was pleasantly surprised by the rooms! Photos of the place were accurate and many thanks for the upgrade. I suspect the upgrade was because the room I arrived for (and was first directed to) hadn't even been stripped from the previous residents, but absolutely no complaints with the Chaucer Room - other... This bed-and-breakfast is right in the middle of the pedestrian-friendly Kings Mile in Canterbury, England. The only thing keeping me here for my second night is the fact that I prepaid. It is, just, terrible. It is advertised as having free Wi-Fi, but here I am, writing my review, in the dark and unmanned reception desk area at 830pm because... More

Cannot fault the stunning architecture and beautiful furniture but that is where the positives end for this terribly managed hotel. We booked the Sun Room for our wedding night after seeing beautiful photos boasting flowers around the jacuzzi bath, petals on the four poster bed etc. We contacted the manager upon booking notifying him that we were a bride and... The manager was on holiday and so had a stand in. He was from Cypress and his English was terrible. Every time I was in the reception/breakfast area he'd be talking talking talking...a bit of space would be nice I stayed in the Pilgrim room. Soooo cramped and soleless. So small I couldn't get to one side of the room... More
