Loved this hotel - everything from the location & food through to the ‘vibe’. Staff are friendly & good at what they do, food is great, rooms are lovely & the location is brilliant. Hope to return soon!
Excellent stay, great staff and good food. I stay here regularly with work and it’s always good. The superior double rooms are excellent quality and clean and tidy with views and/or balcony over the marina. The food is good and the convenience of room serve app order is brilliant. Most importantly the staff are warm, friendly and incredibly helpful consistently. Always disappointed when I can’t get in and have to stay elsewhere!
Stopped overnight for Work had a really ennoble stay . Room was excellent overlooking the harbour goid selection of ales in the bar and food was excellent both evening meal and breakfast .. Loads of parking and staff were really nice . Lots to do close by would love to come back again .
Extremely disappointed! I had booked a table for four, as I was keen to introduce this restaurant to our friends, however, on arrival we could not believe the noise level coming from a DJ in the bar. We couldn’t hear ourselves talk and within minutes knew there was no point in staying. I asked the waiter if there was any possibility of turning the music down, to which he replied ‘no’. Whilst I appreciate that other celebrations maybe occurring, it should not be at the expense of their Dining guests. We promptly left and will not be visiting again, unless their policy on noise levels is addressed. I would also like to add, that I requested a window seat the day before by phone, which was confirmed but at no stage did they make me aware that a party was going on, to give me the option to cancel. We waisted time and petrol travelling from Gravesend, which could have been avoided!…
Travelled for business. The room was excellent, spacious with a large balcony overlooking the harbour. There is plenty of on-site parking. The bar, outside area and restaurant was superb. The staff are friendly and attentive. I will definitely be staying here again.
Stayed here for 4 nights , we were welcomed by a friendly girl on reception and we were allowed to enter room early. The room was clean with a nice bathroom. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant on the first night, the staff were excellent and very attentive, however we were both very disappointed in the food. My partner had fish and chips , the fish was very greasy and was more batter than fish, I had chicken which was very dry and not edible. Breakfast was included in the price of the room, again was disappointed with the breakfast. The food is the only thing that lets this hotel down, the room and the service throughout the hotel was very good.
I eat reasonably regularly at The Ship & Trades but the last two visits this April the food has been dismal. Sandwiches arrived within 5 minutes of ordering: bread was stale and cold and the filling tasteless. Clearly pre made and stored in the fridge. Small cod and chips VERY small and thin. The menu is exactly the same at The Manor Barn in Southfleet (also Shepherd Neame) and equally disappointing. The chicken burger was very greasy and the vegetable chips over fried. Not recommended and very expensive for dull and badly cooked food.
Clean, friendly and welcoming hotel at Chatham Marina offering value for money food, drink and accommodation. Bed with Breakfast included is the order of the day with an attentive staff. Handy for local business overnight stays but ideally a couples hotel. Reported 4.5/5 to the team on departure with marks only lost for bathroom layout (sink in front of a window so no mirror to shave into and no free standing available) and no desk area should you want to work (low unit with TV and tea tray taking up the space). Would not hesitate to recommend or return. Many thanks team.
Always stay here when visiting family. And not found anything to complain about. Rooms are lovely, staff are wonderful and the food is amazing :) The surroundings are quiet and even the pub when full isn’t loud in the evenings Good placement for views and walks Wouldn’t stay anywhere else down here
Easy location with unlimited free parking just outside Good size room on first floor with marina view. Rather dainty Bath ! Nice toiletries . Room could’ve done with being a bit warmer. Service accessible and adequate. Has a lift. Not noisy, even though over the bar area.
