Lovely position by the river, overlooking the boats. Great decor with the nautical theme. Room 15 had a perfect view of the marina with large sash window to enjoy it. Water in the shower was only just warm and would have been too cold if it was winter. Would recommend earplugs for the crazily creaky floorboards. Food was ok in the restaurant for dinner, pub grub. Breakfast was nicer, albeit a bit on the small side. There were cereals and juice, but these weren’t pointed out to us on arrival, so was a bit late when we saw the sign. Girl on the reception with the red hair was very friendly on arrival. A nice place to come to enjoy the view but you wouldn’t go in judging by the outside.

Set in the Chatham docks area, we stayed there for 1 night and had dinner and breakfast there. First appearances, with its rusty tin roof, I was a little sceptical, but I have to say it wasn't bad at all. All staff were very helpful and polite, our room was super clean and quite large, nice shower and comfy bed. Dinner menu wasn't huge, but good enough for us, breakfast though, excellent. Freshly cooked for each guest, good portions and very tasty. Only minor comment is that the bedrooms do not have and cannot have air conditioning as it's a listed building, and with the weather having been very hot recently, fans provided made little effect, but you cannot blame the weather on the hotel. Overall, would i return again? Yes I would.

Stayed here for two nights whilst visiting family in the area. It was my first time, but my husband stayed here once or twice previously whilst on business. The first thing that struck me on entering the reception area was a nasty smell coming from the toilets. This worried me as to what might lay ahead for us in our room. Check in was easy and the staff were lovely. The stairs and landing were in desperate need of vacuuming and it seemed a bit dark and dingy. The room itself was nice enough and very quiet. We had food there that evening and cooked breakfast the next morning, all to a good standard. I wouldn’t rule out staying there again, but it definitely needs some better housekeeping practices.

This hotel has all the component parts to be great but it lets itself down on cleanliness. The staff are welcoming and helpful - Georgia was great at dinner - the room was well equipped and comfortable but incredibly dusty. Dust on the kettle lid and across the drinks tray, bedside lamp and around the tv. The carpets in communal areas could do with cleaning. Over all I would recommend it as the room was good and the food superb.

Great location overlooking Chatham marina and easy access to Chatham Historic Dockyard. We did a tour there of Call the Midwife which used the dockyard as an outside film location. Fun tour. Hotel was very clean with a comfy bed and comfy pillows. We chose a very nice room with a river view. Staff friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Good customer service when we had a problem. Free car parking but you must register your car at reception. Trendy bar and great outside space overlooking the quiet marina. We enjoyed our-stay and would visit again when next in the area

We went to the Ship & Trades in Chatham Docks yesterday for our wedding anniversary. Great location right beside the marina with all the boats. Our room was very nice with a great view of the marina. The staff were very friendly and helpful on the whole. Breakfast was very nice and I would recommend the American pancakes. Very close to a small shopping centre, i-Max cinema and restaurants. Only slight negatives are the reception area could do with a good clean and it had a funny smell. While most staff were friendly, there was one female bar tender who let the side down shall we say! Lovely stay overall.

Nicely appointed room in this old naval building. Comfortable and roomy - but being directly above the team smoking area meant we were woken up pretty early in the morning. A very good cooked breakfast selection - but no croissants or pastries and only a limited juice and cereal range.

I was a little sceptical considering the price we paid in comparison to prices we normally pay to stay somewhere, however I was pleasantly surprised. Our room was clean and we had a great night sleep in the bed. I found them welcoming. The breakfast was not great but it was ok and edible, but again considering this was included within the price of the nights stay it was deffo passable. The only disappointment is if your tall like my partner taking a shower is difficult as it’s over a bath and the height is not good so you have to bend in a way you can fit under it, but again there’s nothing that can be done with the height of a room so the hotel can’t be responsible for this. It’s just awkward that was all. But overall a lovely night sleep at a great price. We also stayed with two other family members who had two different rooms and their findings were also good. Would recommend this hotel in the area
