Went for a week day lunch with some friends. The restaurant has been refurbished and is very pleasant with the lovely river view and boats. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food wasn't anything special though, not very hot or well cooked.I also thought it was a little on the expensive side for pub grub.

This is a pleasant hotel with comfortable rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast has a good choice of cereals and cooked breakfast .All in all a pleasant place to stay .The area around the hotel is mixed with the car park on one side and the nice Marina on the other ,you get the Marina view in the even numbered...

Ended a spa day with my daughter at the ship and trade as its her local. I have never been there before, but thought it looked welcoming after the refurb. We brought a drink from the bar then asked if they had a table, it was quite busy but they fitted us in. We weren't that hungry and fancied snacking...

My husband and I decided to visit for a meal after the refurbishment. What a disappointment. It was 7pm and half of the menu choices weren't available as they didn't have the stock so I reluctantly settled for fish and chips. The 'fresh' fish was cooked from frozen as some of it was still frozen and the onion rings were...

Thought we would give this pub a try on St Mary's Island. There were few patrons so were surprised how long the food took to arrive. Coffee was weak & tasteless not a good start. The four of us each had a different starter full English, crumpets, eggs benedict, avocado on bread, all dishes were completely underwhelming, bitter fruits with...

We don't go here much as the drinks are quite expensive but it has just gone under a refurbishment and we thought we would give it another go. Didn't realise it is more of a restaurant now so my husband went to the bar to get the drinks while I found a table. Got a table in the new restaurant...

The Ship and Trades pub and restaurant has been closed for several months undergoing a major refurbishment. There is now a new glass ground floor restaurant which from the outside seems very attractive. On an evening when the restaurant was not particularly busy it was quite noisy with significant background sound coming from the bar area. The starter portions served...

Pub looks lovely, on the river & refurb looks great. Food is still worse than Wetherspoons but twice the price. Club sandwich is a toastie & at £9 (with 6 chips) I wish I had of gone to the chip shop a few doors down. Asked for no avocado & brown bread. White bread with avocado turned up. Then the...

The refurb looks amazing, and the food had never been better! Compliments to all the chefs as they clearly have a passion for their job! Waitress staff were very good and even when questions were asked that they didn't know the answer to, they would be straight back with the answer that was needed. You could see some management were...
