Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A wonderful check in experience with Charley. Comfortable rooms and great views! Having the all night bar to watch the HGV’s pass was handy and a surprisingly serene experience. One of the best travel lodges I have stayed in in a long time. :)

Friendliest reception team in any Travelodge we’ve stayed in! Charley was super efficient in sorting out our complicated check in following a change of dates. The room was big and extremely quiet. We stayed two nights and will return when visiting friends in Deal.

For only £42 we got a large family room (4 beds), which was clean and had a lovely view of Dover Castle and the port. The staff were really helpful and kind and the food was excellent. The breakfast is unlimited and kids eat free! I would recommend this for anyone doing an overnight stop in Dover.

Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean and well stocked and Charley was very welcoming and efficient. Hotel is ideally situated for catching early ferry crossing. Building in clean tidy and smart condition. Left before breakfast so can't comment on that.

Charley at reception was possibly the smiliest person I have ever met. Amazing service and felt as if nothing was too much. She fully explained everything, taking her time with my husband who suffers from anxiety. Working in the service industry as I do, I appreciate how awkward some public are but to Charley not a problem. Thank you!

The staff and the service are so helpful and considerate, always willing to help you, answer your questions and make sure you are comfortable. I have enjoyed their breakfasts and spent time having a drink in their bar. The rooms, corridors and halls are clean, neat and tidy. As an economy level hotel, it was a fine place to stay

Great locations for pre-ferry stays, lots of food choices within 2 minutes walk and breakfast was great with lots of choices. Rooms were very clean and checking in and out was very straight forward. Will stay here again when we're next in Dover
