Spent 3 nights here in September. Jan and George were very welcoming and made us feel at home - we enjoyed chatting with them. Close to the train station and in easy walking distance of all the fun things in Dover. The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was very nice.

Would definitely stay here again next time we're in Dover.

Gets what you pay for. It’s an economic option, so don’t expect the Ritz. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine but not included in the room rate - it’s an extra tenner. Stairs are very narrow and very steep, as are the entrance steps. Clean, tidy, but rather dated. But it’s fine - does what it says on the tin. At the end of the day, it’s an old style budget guest house in a seaside port that’s going through a slow regeneration - and there’s lots of competition, so not all of these places will survive the current cost of living crisis.

Had a lovely stay at Dover's Restover, which I was nervous about given some of the reviews here. Yes, this is a bed and breakfast, so don't expect an elevator bank or scores of rooms.

With one other person, we had a quaint room on the 3rd floor. No AC, but it's fall and wasn't a problem with a fan going. Breakfast was great, and a bargain, and I like that it's separate from the room rate - not everyone wants a British breakfast daily.

Our hosts were fantastic and helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

A lovely warm greeting by Jan. A very comfy, quiet room. Car parked off the road. A wonderful 'all you can eat' cooked breakfast by George. Considering some of the breakfasts we'd had on our travels, this was by far the best in quality, amount and price!! A great location for Dover's amenities. 5 mins from the port. We would DEFINITELY stay there again! Full marks for customer service too! Thank you!

My son and I had the most enjoyable 6 night stay at this delightful B&B. We were greeted warmly from the George the owner who then showed us to our very clean and modern room. Breakfast was the highlight of our day, a beautifully cooked English Breakfast every morning. This is England and we are happy to stay at these older style homes. We are visiting England again same time next year and we will certainly be staying at the Dover Restover B&B.

We had a good experience with the Restover Bed and Breakfast in Dover, England. First, it is very close to the Ferry docks, which was important to us, since we had an early morning reservation for the ferry. Secondly, the proprietor was very friendly and very helpful, which made for a pleasant stay. There was a nice breakfast in a cheerful breakfast room.
The room was small, though very clean and functional. The only negative was the stairs, quite a few flights of steps to our room. However, I think this would be the case in any of the B&Bs in this area, since they're all in tall, older houses.
We would recommend this B&B to someone looking for a place in Dover, convenient to the Ferry docks.

Wonderfully friendly and helpful owner and staff. Delicious English breakfast. 30 second walk from Dover Priory train station, where a line of taxis always waits if you need a taxi. Clean room and bathroom. Stayed here two separate times and found it to be superb both times.

This is a very comfortable but small and basic B&B. Although clean and breakfast was good; it does not deserve the high reviews. We were mislead by these reviews and disappointed. Anyone who has stayed in a 5-star bed and breakfast will realize quite quickly upon arrival this place would need work to bring it up to those standards.

Few points the owners could think about to improve (and reasons why I have given the rating I did):

1. Room we staying in was so small that the television is placed in the corner on top of a small closet. You cannot see the picture due to the angle from anywhere in the room but while standing in the doorway. There is no where to sit but on the bed where you can’t see the TV. No place to put your luggage, purse or anything. Only a bed. Very strange set up.

2. Our pillows were flat and only about 1 inch thick. Terrible.

3. Bedding old; out dated; unappealing, but the I ha ve to mention the sheets were clean. Modern fresh bedding would brighten up the room and make it so much better.

4. We were given two very thin towels for two people for three days and two nights. No hand towels, no face towels, no bath mat. How are you supposed to wash?

5. Wallpaper old and peeling is spots. Bath room could be fixed up with nice shampoos, soap, all the amenities of high rated B & B’s. Shower pressure terrible.

6. No services for guests, we were told we could not use the telephone, the fax machine, no internet access, nothing. We had an unexpected emergency at home and when we received a call we were told that the B&B phone was for their use only and we should not have given out their number to our family. Not at all the service we have experienced at other B & B’s. Most places are so accommodating.

This B & B felt like a cheap rooming house not a luxurious B & B as we were lead to believe. So if you are in Dover and want a reasonably priced place to stay this may be for you. BUT if you are looking for a 5-star B & B this is defininately not the place.

Had a wonderful two day stay here. The experience was all that could be expected and our group that ranged in ages from 14 to 82 would look forward to a return visit. Our host was friendly, but not intrusive and his local knowledge was second to none. The beds were some of the most comfortable that we experienced during our 4 week stay in the UK. I would thoroughly recommend this B&B to anyone.

Lovely owners/staff who made us feel very welcome. Lots of breakfast and clean rooms, including a great-sized family room for 5. The walls are thin though, so it's noisy, you can hear the other guests even just walking in their rooms. Off street parking is handy. Only 10 mins from the Channel Tunnel.
