We chose Farthingloe Farm because of its location and secure parking and on arrival we were greeted by the owners who gave us tea and cakes before showing us to our room. They recommended a Beefeater restaurant nearby where we had a very good meal. The following morning we had an excellent breakfast before departing to Luxembourg. Our room was...

Lovely coffee and cake on arrival. Top quality breakfasts, plenty to eat, top quality ingredients. Lovely old farmhouse with many original features, shame about the office-style lighting. Our room was pretty good, not 'worn out' like many B&Bs are. We were surpirsed the room wasn't serviced when we got back on the first day - it was for the rest...

The house and surroundings are brilliant if you are looking for a quiet place to stay which also has a lot of character. Derek and Jane are absolutely the politest and nicest B&B hosts I have ever experienced. Starting with the booking process! Within 5 minutes of sending an inquiry at 11 pm, I got a reply which answered all...

We booked this pet friendly room through a popular booking site and the booking was confirmed. I logged in the day before , as we were considering not travelling due to approaching bad weather and it was stated that on my confirmation in order to cancel it would cost us £45. We decided to go ahead and travelled for 6...

Two bookings were made an hour apart, we immediately emailed the second one advising we could not take the booking. We tried again next day and by phone, the number was not recognised!! The agent also tried to no avail. On arrival they admitted that they had seen on our website there were no rooms! We believe they got some...

Friendly hosts, clean accom and a good breakfast.....however as an old house very creaky wooden floorboards throughout meant a restless 2 nights of sleep and thin curtains meant bright bedrooms from 6am. They need to invest in a new bed for our room which was very lumpy although our daughters bed was fine, two sidetables instead of metal stools would...

We had a one night stay in this lovely Georgian B&B whilst on a nostalgia trip to my hometown. The coffee and cake on arrival was a real treat after a daytrip to Dover Castle. Our room was warm and comfortable with lovely views of the grounds. Breakfast was delicious taken in the beautiful dining room; Derek and Jane are...

We stopped here for 2 nights on a driving holiday from France to northern England for Christmas. We and our three small children arrived in the afternoon and were warmly welcomed with tea and cake. We chose to stay in one large room which was perfectly sufficient, with a shared bathroom around the corner. Jane and Derek had plenty of...

Jane and Derek made our border collies and us very welcome from the moment we entered their lovely house. We were only on a stop-over on our way to France but we still received a rose and chocs at breakfast as it happened to be Valentine's Day. The dogs would have loved the huge grounds but the weather was very...
