Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

On our arrival we was met by a receptionist who appeared to see her job as more as a chore than a job. Very little interaction and certainly not a friendly welcome . Our room was sparse ( compared to what you get a from travelodge closest rival) . There was red stains on the carpet that we could not decide if it was blood or a stain also other marks over carpet . Bathroom was very small and dated and looked grubby with a very sad looking slip mat in the bath. In the morning we was woken by the cleaner coming in to clean the room at 09:00 . We chose this place as nr to where our event was but will not be using it again . Needs a lot of TLC Cannot comment on the food as we did nit use these facilities.

Always have a fab stay here, beds so comfy, staff are so friendly and nothing too much trouble. Lots of lovely local beaches and great walk to Broadstairs in a beautiful sunny day. Its our 4th time visiting and always find new things to do.

Positive is the staff who the ones we met were all friendly and welcoming and helpful. Always said hello / good morning or afternoon when going in and out the door. Just wonder be better if all had standard uniforms ? Great value cost per night . Clean good rooms but some issues with the bathroom- no heating in ours and so much cooler than the room and also didn’t seem any extraction working so very steamy after the shower and after few days with the towels not drying a room had damp smell. Limited shelves to place things. Location of excellent right in the front and views of marina . No parking though you use the multi-storey at night which is questionable safe considering some of the people wondering around after dark and some of these staying at the hotel, smoking outside the entrance doors . I think they need to move away as is intimating . Overall was pleasant stay for a couple nights

Hotel not too bad but fellow guests were very noisy and people in the streets partying then fighting etc. We only got a couple of hours sleep throughout the night, which was not great ahead of a long drive the following day.

Staff are excellent and helpful. Always spotlessly clean. Breakfast recommended. Location is great with buses outside the door. Plenty to see and do around Thanet. Train station easy route once again by bus. I don't drive so being so central is such a plus.

Normal stay just a room away from home. Nothing special or spectacular. Food could be better and taste better. Better of going to the weather spoons down the road for food. Cheaper and worth your money.

Good location by the seafront. Parking just across the street and very reasonably priced. Andrea on reception was brilliant, so welcoming and sorted out my booking issue straightaway. Breakfast could do with more options, but beautifully cooked by callum and Ian is so bubbly and cheerful. Loved my stay here and cant wait to return
