The Hotel De Ville is a Public House and Hotel. We have 9 rooms, all twin with en suite except for one single room. we have 2 rooms that are big enough to make family rooms with 2 put up beds. Their are 5 rooms upstairs and 4 downstairs. The rooms are clean, comfy and tidy. The top rooms with sea views. There are 2 floors up, my flat 1st floor and the rooms on 2nd floor. Breakfast is £5 a head extra, and (as i cook enough for me too!) is hearty and tasty. The pub is a friendly , busy place and we have live music on once a week. There are plenty of restaurants in the near vicinity. Some cheaper ones and some expensive ones if you want that little bit more!We are a ten minute walk from the town and the same to the Royal Harbour. there is a five minute walk to the seafront/beach which is straight down the road.we have people stay here for a few weeks sometimes an if you ask, you are more than welcome to use our fridge and microwave , or even get a take away and use our plates and cuttlery and eat it in our breakfast room.My wife and i have only had the place nearly a year, and have made some big changes.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Do not stay here . Mould in bedroom, cups not cleaned, water still in kettle. Bed looked like it had just been slept in . No pillow protectors . Yellow stained pillows . Dirty net curtains . Dead flies on sash cord window . Light pulls sticky and dirty . Clean bathroom . Bedrooms smelled . I've stayed in cleaner Hostels . Would not recommend.. not been cleaned properly in months

We stayed for one night last Friday for a concert in Margate. Really just looking for a place to sleep with very little expectation for the price. We were warmly welcomed by the lady behind the bar. Everything was ready and in place. No faffing! As a couple, we go away quite a few times a year and on a few occasions, they can’t find the booking, can you just wait there etc. After usually a long drive, last thing you want! Room and bathroom very clean. Clean bedding (smelt nice) towels etc. Yes the room was dated but fully functional and fit for purpose. They are priced accordingly. I like my comforts ie: I want to be comfortable and I was. We both agreed, beds were so comfortable, we didn’t want to get up! Might not be everyone’s cup of tea but I loved waking up to the sound of the gulls. Would love to come back and stay here again. Thank you.

We arrived and was greeted by the owner and shown our room, we stayed to attend a concert in dreamland and the barmaid arranged our taxi which was very cheap compared to Uber. We used the same driver to collect us after. We had a drink in the bar as we waited, all the locals were friendly, and accommodating. We came back late and it was very quiet. The rooms were clean, and comfortable, and was easy to get outside for a smoke. Was a great stay, and would definitely stay again.

Please avoid this so called hotel, it is worse that a hostel and they have a cheek to charge over £60 for the room . Smells musty carpets are filthy and bathroom worse with a cold tap that constantly runs and cracked floor tiles when u step out the shower & not forgetting no hand towel in the bathroom. The curtains were hanging off the rail and had sellotape round the end of the rod too stop them falling off totally oh and the holes in them . The TV has little or no signal so couldn't even watch that and had to was the cups b4 we used them . We were on the top floor over looking the main street and the windows were only covered by half a net curtain and as u will see in one of the pics the sash cord on the window was thread bare and a health hazard. We stayed for one night at this B&B and what we liked most were the friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were basic and clean, just right for our stay. We were on the top floor and there were a few stairs but that was fine, and we had a sea view which we had asked for if possible The room was also quiet at night with no noise from the pub downstairs. The location wasn't too far from the sea and the town centre. Will definitely come hear again when we next visit Ramsgate,

Excellent location - small beach just round the corner and mariner/main beach with plenty of bars and restaurants just an easy ten minute walk (and there is a loop bus running every few minutes from the harbour if you prefer) The main beach is excellent, sea was beautiful to go in. There are toilet facilities and bar /cafe facilities on the beach. Excellent price, value for money! Friendly staff and owners - they were so lovely to us and our two children. And once they knew we had arrived in the area, they had our room ready for us two hours before scheduled check-in, which was a huge benefit and very much appreciated! Great little bar, very clean and COVID safe, with plenty of outdoor seating, good beer (so said my husband) and decent wine served in a nice elegant glass! Perfectly clean room (family room) with bath and shower which is excellent when you have children and spacious enough for a family of four. The family room is a floor down from the bar, but we did not find ourselves disturbed at all by noise from the bar. We'd definitely return

This is rooms in a pub rather than a hotel. All rooms are twins. Our room was spacious and clean. Tea and coffee facilities in room. There is no hair dryer. Sachets provided I’m bathroom. There is no breakfast available. This is at top of Ramsgate but close to aminities and on the bus loop. A pleasant stay with a warm welcome. Would stay again.

Easy check in lovely little room beds a little uncomfortable but we still slept well just the walls a bit thin we heard the kids in the next room get up early lol but that's kids for you lol also with the rooms being under the pub you could hear people moving about but I soon fell asleep anyway so it's not that intrusive ... Will be booking again soon so overall a fantastic stay

Stayed here on Saturday night with a friend. The lady who greeted us was friendly and the room was clean but we had to climb 3 and a half flights of stairs to get to our room (in the loft). My friend is disabled and had we known the situation in advance we would not have booked this accommodation. She felt trapped as not only were there too many stairs they were rickety with old carpet (unsecured in places)
