Nethercourt Touring Park is a small family run campsite in Ramsgate, Kent. We accept tents, motorhomes, and caravans, and we are OPEN ALL YEAR. We have a small games room, vending machines, a utility and laundry room, and tourist information on site. Showers and Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi zone) are inclusive of the pitch fee. The beach, Ramsgate town centre and the only royal harbour in the country are a mile away and can be reached via a beautiful cliff top walk which also forms part of the Viking Cycle Trail. There is a bus stop outside the gate with a bus that travels to Ramsgate, Broadstairs, and Canterbury. The Loop bus is also fantastic with buses running every 7-9 minutes travelling on a continual Loop around Ramsgate, Broadstairs, and Margate. There are 15 sandy beaches and bays in the area and 7 have Blue flag awards. There is plenty to do in the nearby area for example; The Spitfire and Hurricane Museum, Ramsgate War Tunnels, Hornby Visitor Centre, The Micro Museum, Shell Grotto, The Turner Contemporary Art Gallery, Dover Castle, and Canterbury Cathedral. The campsite is within a 5 minute walk of Tesco and various take aways.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a good little touring site positioned in the Ramsgate suburbs, but as there are no other campsites in the area the owners have become complacent. The facilities are tired and seriously need refurbishing. The showers were weak, the toilets wouldn’t flush properly, the site is pitch black at night with no courtesy lights at all and there’s a derelict caravan in the corner of the site. It is over-priced for the facilities provided. On the plus side, Mark the manager was welcoming and friendly and there’s an adjacent small public park for dog walking.

We really loved Nethercourt Touring site, it has everything we needed for our weekend away. It is beautifully kept, and quite small which helped it to feel friendly. There is a children's playground just across the roadway into the site which you can see from some of the pitches, we were able to see our children play while we were cooking at our pitch. The toilet and shower blocks are accessed by a key code so are only for use of those staying on site and kept clean and tidy. The showers are hot and quite powerful, most importantly free, there is also a free hairdryer on the wall. The washing up facilities are inside a utility room which has a free to use freezer and fridge as well as coin operated washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a games room which we didn't use, so unable to give details of that. There is a drinking water filling point as well as a waste disposal point and recycling area. The ranger was really friendly and helpful, available to contact by phone if ever needed and very responsive. He came to chat a few times. My children enjoy wildlife and we loved listening to a variety of birds including a woodpecker, parakeets and robins as well as pigeons and gulls. They also loved watching the bats flying around near the trees after sunset. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this site and will definitely return.

It’s a tight turn getting the caravan in off a busy road but once you’re in the site is a grassy open field with no airs and graces. The warden is super helpful when it comes to guiding a useless caravan Parker such as me into place. We used this site as a base to explore all over the area and it’s ideally placed. We made a faux par of lighting a log fire which is against council regulations and there was just a polite request to put it out which of course was no bother. Really good clean showers and toilets, 2 sinks for washing pots and a red room with a pool table

This is a great location situated where a stately home used to be and the original garden wall remains. It is small and friendly next to a park with playground for children. The owners were very friendly and helpful when we arrived. The toilets and showers are clean and well looked after. It is not too far to walk into Ramsgate town centre and the Royal Harbour. We will definitely return to Nethercourt Touring Park. Jane & Skip

We've just spent four very pleasant nights at this site. It's a quiet, clean site about a mile or so from town. The amenities block was clean, the showers were warm, and the coded door ensured nobody could use them except the campsite guests. We will return.

We really enjoyed our stay at this well kept lovely campsite. Very good amenities the facilities were clean and warm and a good washing up and laundry room. The wifi was a bonus for my grandson and the owner was very welcoming and nothing was any trouble. Only a few minutes walk to local shops and take aways and Ramsgate 5 minutes in the car, will certainly be returning

A nice camp site, but a bit weird. Flower pots, cones and wheelie bins are used to block off entry points. Once on site cars seen to be blocked off by flower pots, campers have to move pots to drive car out, putting them back before you drive off. Motor homes having to move wheelie bin with a chain attached to get on pitch. Elec hook up points shared with several other users. Obviously others can drive over your power lead. A rotting caravan in one corner of site, facilities block very dated, very bad lighting inside, glass windows replaced by plastic panels, half are open or hanging out. No heating, toilet doors do not lock, toilets and toilet floors not washed or cleaned the whole period of our stay. Same skid marks every day we stayed. Mop and bucket left by showers, bucket had not moved, water not changed or sanitizer added. Dirt around sinks not cleaned, urine splashes on walls. Dead flies behind bin in toilet block not swept up. Fencing by chemical dump area falling down, other fences held up by bits of rope or propped up with old sign posts. No basic hygiene standards here, This site could do with a complete revamp.

Owner not on site you have to ring him when you arrive. Toilet block coded could do with an update and a good clean cobwebs and spiders and lighting was very poor. Site not very secure no barriers and open driveway. Good walk to bus stops to catch the Loop buses takes a while to find out where to catch them. Train station about 3/4 mile away. Can walk down to front takes about 25 minutes. Washing up facilities and washer and drier. Games room closed. Handy site but needs a bit of TLC.

We felt at home as soon as we drove into this family run site. We were a bit wary when we booked as we could see the site is situated between houses. However, this wasn't a problem as it was a haven. it is lovely, quiet and relaxing and you can hear the birds constantly. We loved seeing the jays and the parakeets. The locataion is great to explore this beautiful area and although we booked for 14 nights we ended up staying 19 nights. Thank you Emma and Mark for our lovely stay. Hope to see you again soon!
