Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We booked a sea view room and it was very comfortable. All the staff were friendly. We had some drinks in the bar and dinner in the restaurant, steak and chips, which was excellent. Breakfast good.

The room was very comfortable with a very soft bed , which was too soft for me, but we couldn't complain as we had a very quiet and snuggly nights sleep, our room overlooked pegwell bay and we watched the tide come in to the tidal river entrance wines it's way towards Sandwich, our room number was 104, we will return to stay another long weekend later in the New Year, Every morning we took the lift down to floor minus 1 and down a narrow passage way to the dining room for breakfast it was decorated with paintings and pictures of Old Ramsgate which are continued upstairs in the Hotels Pub and Restaurant which are accessible via the street entrance and a stairs from the breakfast dining lounge, Under the Pub and Restaurant at sea level is a separate venue which is used for weddings and other entertainment that require a larger entertainment space, If you are planning an event in these areas the hotel offer discounts for all guests that are staying in the hotel to attend the events

Stayed for the weekend. We had a large, clean room with a very comfy, big bed. The bathroom was clean with a good size shower. Staff very welcoming and provide an excellent service. For breakfast in the morning we had a full English, which was good enough to set us up for the day! You can also have cereal and croissants etc. If you're in the Pegwell Hotel and want lunch and evening meals, pop over to the Sir Stanley Gray restaurant across the road (I had a great burger there). The hotel is located just a mile away from the centre of Ramsgate and the walk to and from town provides some excellent views. Definitely a great location if you like seaside walks. The hotel has a large car park with plenty of space.

Just returned from a fantastic overnight stay here. Everything from the meet and greet to the room to the food that was served was fantastic. The room was perfect in size, bathroom and room were really clean tidy. The bed was super comfy and amenities were great. Beautiful views on your doorstep and ample parking available. Totally recommend this hotel.

We booked this hotel last minute when we discovered there were 29 pubs in the Good Beer Guide in Ramsgate (23 within a mile of each other) The hotel was perfect for what we needed. We had 2 twin rooms, clean tidy, (rear view but it’s November and dark ) biscuits and water in room. Breakfast included was excellent and with a sea view through the “secret tunnel” to the pub opposite. 2 pubs opposite the hotel were both good and food looked good. Walk into town is 25-30 mins but we got a taxi as it was torrential rain (£4.50). If you are a Real Ale fan Ramsgate is full of great pubs. But the best bit of this hotel is reception staff. So nice to not be in a big hotel chain. The reception staff were friendly, helpful, cheeky and good fun for us 4 middle aged blokes who had a weekend away together. (Let’s not mention the football, we lost in the FA Cup) Free parking always a plus We will be back with our wives in the summer

This is a lovely hotel with the most wonderful views across the Bay - you can just get lost in the sunset, and then the lights when it's dark! The rooms are a decent size, very comfortable and absolutely spotless. Breakfast is exceptional (good portions and choice) and the pub across the road serves excellent sandwiches with a side of chips at very good value. Staff are always helpful & courteous and it has a manned Reception 24 hrs so there's always someone who can help. Can't recommend this highly enough and will be staying here again without a doubt.

We had the most magical wedding at Pegwell Bay Hotel. The service we received from Richard and his team was amazing. Everything went smoothly even with a bit of rain. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. The venue was set up beautifully, the food that was served was top notch, the staff were all very helpful and Richard was the perfect Event Manager.

From the moment we arrived for a two night stay, Charlie the receptionist welcomed with a smile, and a professional helpful manner, lovely, as was Holly on our departure. Lovely comfortable room, breakfast was excellent with many choices, again, all the staff in the restaurant were friendly and pleasant, food was excellent! We will return very soon, and would recommend this hotel to everyone. Thanks Pegwell bay hotel.
