Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here for night to visit a friend . We arrived to a warm welcome from chaps on desk . Really pleased to see there was a restaurant as starving and wondering where we would eat . Lovely lady Georgia 5724 served us was very friendly and helpful a credit to premier inn . . And food was delicious. Very clean room and comfy bed .

Made to wait 15mins before checking in or £10 fee. Given access room with no bath, not as booked. Room as drab as the view of the Humber Estuary outside. TV the size of a postage stamp! Usually go with an independent hotel through hotels.com, shan't be bothering again with premier Inn, neither will any of my employees! Depressing welcome! (Policy, not the reception staff) Depressing Stay! ☹️☹️☹️

Lovely stay. Parked up before visiting the Deep and were greeted at reception warmly with the offer of storing our luggage until check in. We checked in quickly and easily later in the day after enjoying a drink in the bar overlooking the Humber. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We were going to eat elsewhere but Storm Kathleen helped us change our minds, and so we asked for a table in the hotel restaurant instead. We were warned that they were short staffed so there would be a wait for food but that was ok with us. The food was hot and delicious and well worth the wait. The staff were so busy and having to deal with complaints from some pretty rude customers who thought they were entitled to not have to wait for food or drinks...the staff handled these complaints calmly and tried everything they could to make things right. We were happy to wait and tried to make the staff feel better. They worked hard when obviously having a few issues and were a credit to the hotel. Lovely breakfast this morning before checking out. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel in good location for Hulls nightlife Friendly staff just a few issues first one being that at breakfast no fresh orange juice!!! Never had a hotel before without this !!! Purchased one from the vending machine lol Secondly the card for the door entry I had to be let in nearly every time I found this bizarre and I’m not the only one having this trouble And thirdly the internet connection!!!! Terrible there was a notice in the lift informing there was an issue apparently it been like this for a while I paid £180 for 2 nights I do expect better especially on the fresh orange juice apart from that it was good

Sorry - but this hotel is going downhill fast. We have stayed at the hotel many times since it opened but last night's stay will be the last. First of all the electronic room key didn't work, which involves a long wait to get the lift back down to reception then queuing there to sort it out, while the wife is waiting outside the room. Inside the room , even with the temperature turned as low as possible, the room is much too hot. Then trying to turn on the old tired and miniscule TV with the handset which has an almost defunct battery almost leads us to give up - but when we use the buttons on the TV the sound quality is appalling. The heavy duvet would probably be better suited to a polar expedition. Why can they not get this correct? Then the toilet doesn't work properly, 'backing up' all the time. We report this the following morning and it will be rectified after we check out. The room decor is 'tired' and still too hot but if we open the window the traffic noise is excessive. Nit picking possibly - but why is the room so hot? Not much that the staff can do to help. At this point we have to point out that the hotel staff are 100% excellent as usual. Then we take the full English (buffet) breakfast. Just let's say that it was very disappointing. The items were not exactly the good quality that they used to be, still, we live and learn. Premier Inn need to totally refurbish this hotel, it's falling behind the standard of others in the group - and letting down the superb staff.

Premier Inn hotels are our first stop for planning times away as a family member is a full time powered wheelchair user. Hull city centre delivered care support and a professional approach. 10/10 for accommodation accessibility and staff knowledge of additional requirements without having to be asked.

Receptionist was very welcoming and efficient. Our Premier Plus room 1210 was immaculate. Dave, the Maintenance man, showed us how to operate room temperature. What a lovely guy! Happy, helpful and professional. Definitely a great asset to the hotel. We will be back!

Absolutely loved our night away here. We came to The Deep and stayed here because it was the closest hotel but it is the perfect spot. We parked for free at the hotel and walked over to The Deep. We came back and took an afternoon nap the beds were so comfy. We had the meal deal and really enjoyed our tea, the food was good and we had a lovely view of the sun setting over the estuary and docks. All of the staff in the hotel were friendly, helpful and attentive. Had a brilliant sleep, no noise from inside the hotel and even with the window open there wasn’t much noise from outside. Will definitely stay here again.

Lots about our stay was excellent, but there were some irritating little things that could have easily been addressed. On the "disappointing" side of the scales: we had a family room for three of us, but there were two glasses, two mugs, two towels, two spare pillows, etc. There was no coffee at all. The bathroom fan was less effective at extracting air than your nan sucking her teeth when she talks about "her from number 34 who's no better than she ought to be", so the room gets very full of steam. There was trash in the lobby, which was caused by a) people being pigs but also b) vending machines selling snacks, but no bin. There was also pizza and some chips dropped on the floor, but even if the pig who dropped them HAD wanted to pick them up, there was nowhere to throw them away. The shower was... ok, you know those amazing rainforest showers that drench you in water and leave you feeling utterly refreshed and invigorated? OK, now imagine the opposite of that - maybe a small child with a water pistol firing at your body while the shower curtain clings to you like a new lover. On the "fantastic" side: the location is fabulous for visiting The Deep; there's a good amount of free parking; the rooms are pretty reliable and a good size; the breakfast was nice and the service was great; and most importantly the staff are genuinely lovely, friendly and very helpful. It's very disability-friendly, with people with both physical and intellectual disabilities welcomed and accommodated really well. This is a corporate angle designed to encourage people to think positively about the business, but importantly, it's actually something that the staff make real by their flexibility and positivity. We felt valued and welcomed and we'll be back.
