We booked a week including breakfast and parking, to visit local attractions and nearby places. Room 105 was a reasonable size (it's disabled access) with a little balcony. It was quiet despite the nearby roadworks (see below) and the blackout curtain arragements were well designed. We opted for twin beds since none of the double beds are king size. There is tea and coffee, but no mini-bar in the standard rooms. Breakfast was good, including the cooked food. We had dinner twice and were impressed - the fish and chips were excellent. The staff are lovely and helpful. The marina is very nice, with some very good, if somewhat expensive, restaurants. At the moment (May 2022, till 2025) there are extensive roadworks at the sides of the A63, so the hotel has closed all the the rooms on that side. We never experienced noise problems during our stay. The hotel had no maps of the changed arrangements, which is poor. The previous access from the A63 is blocked off. My tip would be to put 'Jackson Street (Hull)' in your SatNav and then go along there and English Street, turn left up Commercial Street and then right at the top to the hotel. We had no problem parking in the outside car park (£10 per night), but then only half the rooms are open now!…
Visited for a wedding on 12/05 - 14/05/22. We were blown away by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They ALL went above and beyond with nothing at all being too much trouble. Lovely clean rooms, we stayed in 318 which had a lovely view over the Marina. Food was excellent and plentiful. Check out the special offers, we had 3 courses and a bottle of wine for £50 for two.👌
Just stopped for some food , sat outside next to the marina.. sun shining, was lovely. We both had the Ceaser salad and it was delicious. Chicken was plentiful, Parmesan crisp was really good too. The young lady who served us was so pleasant, Hafrisa , apologies if I’ve got this wrong but she’s a credit to the hotel. I’d definitely recommend
great place to relax, comfortable bed, clean and nice. And this view-wow delicious breakfast, very friendly service. I would definitely back .Close to town centre, close to The Deep,Cinema and all local restaurants ,coffee shops and train station .
Lovely location. Hotel clean and friendly staff. Extremely welcoming receptionist Conner who was an outstanding employee. Rooms are comfy and bright. Breakfast was great selection of hot and cold options. East parking on site. No noise at all from the nearby building works. Great stay!!
We stayed three nights for a wedding (at a different hotel). The location is great, right at the marina and not far from the old town and every staff member we encountered was pleasant and professional. There are pretty extensive roadworks taking place but besides needing to follow a diversion to the hotel, the roadworks didn't impact on our stay at all, pedestrian access was fine - if you were coming by train I'd say its about a 10 minute walk from the station. We came by car and booked a room rate that included parking - I think you do get cheaper parking elsewhere but we wanted the convenience. There are two electric charging points too. We stayed in a marina facing room and it had everything we needed, free wifi, iron, board, kettle, hair drier, desk/dressing table and a couple of armchairs chairs with a coffee table too. Simply decorated and clean. I think our room was more of the more recently decorated rooms The bathroom had soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. Decent sound proofing, we didn't hear the wedding on the first night at all nor did we hear anything else during the nights we stayed. The room has air con and the window can be opened to an extend should you need it. We ate in the hotel the first evening as we arrived later than expected - there was a wedding on so the main restaurant and bar area wasn't free but the hotel opens up a smaller restaurant/bar in a side area - it would be nice to have some soft seats/sofas for sitting just having a drink - as they only set the room up with tables and chairs which felt a bit formal. Breakfast was buffet style and well organised. All in it was a good stay and if we were ever back in Hull we'd stay here again. The marina and old town areas have a great selection of bars, restaurants, shops and markets. Covid restrictions were finished when we stayed although there were still plenty hand sanitisers around the hotels which was great.…
Fabulous stay . We visited Holiday inn Marina the other day. Attended a concert and thought of spending the night in Hull. The hotel is very good and in a great location. Yards distance from bonus arena and close to pubs and restaurants . The food was also amazing. We got the three course meal with wine offer. Also breakfast was one of the best ever. Cooked to perfection . Would stay there again!!! Staff were so friendly and helpful. 10/10.
Stayed with my mother on a Friday night, had tickets for the Bonus arena….. Lovely clean hotel, great view of the marina, room was comfortable, a good size, and quiet. Breakfast was very good, able to help yourself to the buffet, great variety of food. Bathroom could do with modernisation, if I’d needed to wash my hair in the shower I would’ve struggled as height of shower head is very low, but other than that, a great stay!
Fantastic friendly staff who do the company and themselves proud The room was really clean and the bed was very comfortable. Shower room again was very clean if somewhat dated. Breakfast was cooked very well and was complemented by enough other choices. The hotel is in a prime position. Thank you all
I didn't actually stay at the hotel but finished an evening out with a friend by having a coffee (not the first time we've done this) . The coffee was delicious and came on individual wooden trays with a glass of water and a sherry glass filled with Maltesers. I wished I'd got the name of the waiter who brought us the coffee (and ordered a taxi for us). He was very professional and friendly without being over the top. I wanted to leave him a tip for looking after us so well but unfortunately (because of Covid) I try not to use cash and did not have any change. The evening in question was Friday 11th March 2022 and it was around 9pm. Will certainly pop in again. Thanks again.
