We decided to have a last minute night away in our favourite part of the world, the Langdale Valley. We occupied The Grain Room - a spacious warm and spotlessly clean bedroom with a little slate floor vestibule ideal for our little mini schnauzer to occupy in his bed carrier. He quickly made friends with the soft-pot resident Labrador called...

Thank you very much for your kind and helpful review. It's very welcome from fellow guest house owners, a compliment indeed that you wish to return to us for a break from running your own place, we look forward to welcoming you again in February.

Lesley and Neil were so welcoming, friendly and interesting. We arrived late but Neil stayed up to welcome us from the rain outside, he had put the heating on to warm up our room for when we entered, that was a lovely welcoming feeling, especially when the weather was so terrible outside. Breakfast was great!!! Our room had a beautiful...

If you love the Langdales then this B&B will make you want to extend your stay. It combines stunning views, the convenience of being right on the Cumbria Way, a choice of excellent rooms and owners who really know how to look after their guests. We enjoyed the choice of a comfortable lounge in which to relax or a garden...

We had a lovely time, our room was very clean and plenty big enough for the three of us with great views from the guest lounge. Nothing was too much trouble plus our son really enjoyed feeding the chickens.

Glad to hear your stay was enjoyable for all the family. The hens are certainly very popular with our younger guests and at breakfast when their eggs are a highlight of the breakfasts. Thank you for your kind comments.

A bed and Breakfast right in the heart of the fells with many walks as well as on route for walking the Cumbrian Way. The Guest House is very homely, provides an excellent breakfast by friendly and attentive hosts, Neil and Leslie. The rooms are freshly decorated and with modern fittings. In the winter snuggle up to the fire. There...

we only stayed the one night but would gladly have stayed longer. The House was once a farm and both the original house and several outbuildings now make up the accommodation. My own room was in the farmhouse and had the most stunning view across the Elterwater valley to the hills beyond. The place is comfortable, very well positioned, welcoming...

We had a wonderful stay at the Elterwater Park Country Guest House this past week. We were immediately made to feel at home with a tray of tea and cake upon arrival in the guest lounge overlooking the fells, with roosters and herdwick sheep roaming just feet from the window. We stayed in the Lingmoor Fell room and it had...

Walking the Cumbrian Way with 9 friends and this was the best B & B on route. Neil & Leslie are fabulous hosts who will make you feel completely relaxed and at home. Great location. First class accomodation. Fantastic breakfast, including freshly picked rasberries from the garden. Hospitally above and beyond - Neil collected the 9 of us from the...

A group of us were walking the Cumbria Way and stayed at this home-from-home in the heart of Lakeland, complete with hens in the yard. The rooms are great and the location is unbeatable if you relish a quiet country farmhouse break (only a 20 min walk from the pubs in Skelwith Bridge). Neil and Lesley, the owners were really...

Highly recommended, about a mile to the nearest pub but the owners we're quite happy to ferry us (it took 3 trips). Fresh raspberries from the garden for breakfast, along with a great English Breaky. Very warm and welcoming and a lovely family business.
