We had a fantastic stay at Elder Grove - Lucy and Matt made us feel so welcome. The room was perfect with a comfy bed, high quality tea tray and fluffy towels. The breakfasts are wonderful - I can particularly recommend the vegan breakfast! Would highly recommend.

Elder Grove is a peaceful guest house, with its own car park, right in the centre of Ambleside. The bedroom and facilities are very good and spotlessly clean. The breakfast is tasty and very comprehensive including fresh fruits, cereals, and a good cooked offering. The owners are also very friendly and eager to please.

A very welcoming B and B in the heart of Ambleside. Free car parking. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Fabulous shower with quality toiletries. Fantastic breakfast with a wide range of locally sourced proucts. We have been visiting for years and the already high standard has got better and better. Would highly recommend.

Very nice B&B. Nice and clean room and very nice breakfast. I have stayed there two times now and would not hesitate to stay there again. The hosts Lucy and Matthew are very nice people. Matthew serves the breakfast and is always in a good mood. It is located in walking distance to shops and restaurants in Ambleside. And theres also room for your car. Highly recommended.

We had the best stay at Elder Grove. Lovely warm reception from Matt. Quiet and cosy room at the top of the house. Very comfy bed. Loved the complimentary toiletries. (Ordered some online) Breakfast was very good . Lucy’s poached eggs were perfect. We hope to return one day.

WOW! This is what I thought of Elder Grove B&B. The hosts (Matthew & Lucy) the location, the rooms, the breakfast everything was top class. Quality toiletries and beverage items used in the rooms with the added bonus of high quality products at breakfast, which were absolutley cooked to perfection and delicious. It is immaculately clean throughout. Literature available to facilitate a walking adventure, which was a great aid for us. Parking on site which once we'd parked up we didn't need to move. We will most certainly stay here again. Fantastic.

Excellent return visit. Really helpful hosts who offer a good choice of breakfast items. The dining room is lovely and there is also an honesty bar area. Great location. Close to the centre of Ambleside but nice and quiet. Lovely room.
