Great accommodation at grove cottages. Beautiful views and great hospitality from Sarah. We stayed in little grove which is comfortable for 2 adults. You have great trail walks within walking distance of grove cottages as well as a waterfall down the hill that you drive up to get to accommodation. Walking is lovely so you get to see the rolling hills and views as well as a deer, cows and sheep. Ambleside town is very close by and with 5 mins drive and plenty of car parking places. You can walk up and down the hill To the town will take about 15 minutes or so to walk down the hill but more on way back, the views are stunning so you can take breaks to take beautiful Pictures. Thank you Sarah for a great stay and we Look forward to staying again soon.

We stayed at Grove Cottage for a week and we had a very pleasant stay. Middle cottage has 2 bedrooms and is very comfortable. The kitchen is equiped with everything you need to prepare your own food. Sarah is a very friendly lady and always happy to help. If you need something, like additional towels you just ask. The homemade biscuits were very nice to start your stay. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends.

We stayed here for three nights over New Years in Little Grove and loved our time here. The cottage was beautiful and very cosy. Lovely and warm and very welcoming with gorgeous views straight from the window. The host was very friendly and offered any help whilst there and the location was perfect with a short walk into Ambleside. Definitely recommend it here and we would love to come back in the future! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We feel so lucky to have stayed at Grove Cottages. Up an idyllic road out of Ambleside, past the Stockghyll Force Waterfall (a must see), stand Grove Cottages boasting the most incredible mountain view (including the Kirkstone Pass). We honestly could not get enough of the view outside our door, it's breathtaking, we could've just sat outside and watched the world go by all day. We stayed in Middle Grove which has 2 big windows allowing us to soak up the mountains outside at every opportunity. For the 2 of us the cottage was plenty big enough with room to spare. It's decorated cosy yet modern, with a modern power shower and a really comfy bed. We met Sarah ahead of check in and she was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay with any questions we had or info we needed. During our visit we walked up Wansfell Pike which is literally down the road. We just can't fault this place and feel very lucky to have stumbled across it. When can we come back?! …

Stopped at Little Grove last week and had a great time its such a great place to drop of the grid for a week and unplug and so quiet. There are some great walks straight from the cottage and just a short walk (30mins) into Ambleside so no need to use the car if you don't want too. Had the best night sleep in ages and the cottage has a real nice relaxing feel about it and ideal for a couple to kick back and relax in front of the log burner. Highly recommend this place and Sarah the site manager is lovely too.

We spent a few days in Corner Grove and it was absolutely excellent. So peaceful, cozy and comfortable, it made for a very relaxing stay. The cottage was well equipped and presented in a clean and tidy order, we had everything we needed. A great base if you like walking, Wansfell Pike is on the door step and the view at the top is well worth the effort. Ambleside itself is a nice little town with plenty of amenities. Overall a great place to stay and we'd happily return.

Lovely place to stay in the lake district, close enough to town to take advantage of restaurants (5 min drive, but c. 30 mins walk). Yet still remote enough to enjoy beautiful surroundings and wildlife. Property was clean, well appointed with everything you would need. Internet speed and reliability is very patchy, however this is to be expected in such a rural location. Lots of information on local walks and attractions also available and there are a couple walks that you can do straight from the cottage. Overall very nice place to stay.

We have been coming to Grove Cottages for several years and love the peace but also the proximity to so many walks. We stayed in High Grove this time and there is everything needed for a refreshing break. We feel very welcome and cared for. There are easy walks in the area as well as more challenging ones. The town of Ambleside has many good places to eat.

We stayed at Grove Corner during February half term. This was an ideal cottage, a real home from home. It is in such a great location, probably the best located cottage I've ever stayed in. The views are idyllic and it is so quiet and peaceful. Even though this is a collection of cottages you feel completely secluded, definitely can't hear the other cottages at all. It is around a 30 minute walk from Ambleside (easy road walking) which is ideal because parking can be a bit busy. They do give you a parking disc too if you don't want to walk. There are so many walks around the Lakes so this is a perfect base, there are also walks straight out of the door including Stock Ghyll Force (a waterfall) and any walk that starts in Ambleside can easily be started from your doorstep. The cottage is really well equipped with plenty of cooking equipment (all pans and crockery plus good extras like dishes for pies and a cafetiere). All the facilities are excellent - very comfy bed/sofa and great shower. I will definitely return, hopefully next time for two weeks. There is so much to do in the Lakes and Grove Cottages are the perfect place to stay. …
