We absolutely adored this hotel! We came at just the right time to enjoy a quiet winter 3-night stay. The room was a perfect size, everything in the right place (maybe except the kettle - in a dark cupboard, but hey-ho; we moved it as the sign instructed 😊). After a full day of serious walking on the second day,...

Having looked at the pictures on the website, we were really looking forward to our stay at The Langdales, we don't normally pay £155 for a room on a Friday night but given the 'luxury' promised, we did not mind - what a disappointment!!! Knowing we were staying in the Lake District and having seen pictures of the rooms on...

We stayed at the Langdale hotel for a long weekend in October. We paid for one of the top rooms, which whilst compact for the price was immaculate and beautifully decorated with an incredible jacuzzi bath. The restaurant is good, not amazing, but very fairly priced, very comfortable with good service, and again very cosy with log fires and sofas...

The hotel has a number of plus points but several areas leave more to be desired. - The main drawback is a lack of a sense of central management. Although there is a reception building, the complex generally feels somewhat disjointed, with the rooms in different buildings from the restaurant and spa. A lack of clear signage compounds this issue....

Stayed here for one night at the start of January. Lovely service from the hotel staff, nothing was too much trouble. Stayed in room 105 which was fantastic and really quirky. We were hungry when we arrived and so ordered a garlic bread to put us on until tea! Bed was huge and shower/bath tubs were amazing. Lovely complimentary toiletries....

We booked this break before Xmas and were really looking forward to some R&R......we weren't disappointed. Set in a idyllic location in the Great Langdale valley, this is a hotel to visit and enjoy.....even if it is for only one night. We took advantage of most of the facilities. ....including the swimming pool and bar. We had a two night...

Lovely setting with good local walks. Overly expensive rooms with cold restaurant. Spa is cold, and a spa should never be cold. However, fantastic hot pool open to the skies where you can float and look at the stars. It became clear that the main problem with the place is a total lack of management. No one cares or is...

Courteous staff willing to help with a smile. Clean and luxurious decor, good quality toiletries and all this in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend. We enjoyed bumping into like mined strangers which is what this place does. Very good breakfast selection including eggs cooked freshly in front of you.

I went for the weekend to celebrate my 50th Birthday with family and friends. The scenery around the hotel is breath taking. The rooms are great and the restaurant serves really good food. The spa is excellent and made for a very relaxing break. There are several cosy pubs within short walking distance, with a range of local ales available...
