Travellers' Choice
This charming Visit Britain 4*Bed and Breakfast property has free off-road parking for 7 rooms and is conveniently situated in Ambleside town centre in the very heart of the English Lake District, Wainwright's Walking Country. The beautiful waters of Windermere, Rydal and Grasmere are within easy walking distance as are the historic homes of Wordsworth, Ruskin and Beatrix Potter. Each room has been individually styled - as the B&B has been created from an original Lakeland Stone townhouse, so typical of Ambleside, no room is the same shape or size, but we hope that each one is as comfortable, attractive and pleasing as the next! All rooms have either a double or king sized bed, newly refurbished en-suite shower room and flat screen TV. hospitality trays, hairdryers, wine glasses and corkscrew. Free wi-fi is available throughout the house. Prices include a selection of breakfast choices.

It’s the best B&B we have stayed in. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and take pride in everything they do. The room was very clean and decorated to a high standard. There were some very nice touches that made the B&B stand out from the rest.

Absolutely fantastic stay in this gorgeous b&b. Warm welcome right from the start, we've been able to check in earlier than originally agreed which was great and allowed us more time to explore the Lakes. Room was lovely, tastefully decorated, clean and warm. Loved the entry hall and front garden as well, plenty of flowers and candles, lanterns, right at my street :) Private parking few metres from the hotel gives us peace of mind, town was busy during the weekend so having safe parking space was a massive bonus. Owners were super nice and helpful. Thanks to their tip, we have pre-booked restaurants for the dinners and we even been giving discount card for one of them. Breakfast was lovely every morning. Fresh products and plenty to choose from. Steve and Caz have done everything to make us feel like home. Nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely recommend this gem to everyone. Thank you both, I'm sure we will be coming back soon..

Outstanding b&b. We where welcomed as soon as we arrived and given lots of information. We where given recommendations for dinner and it was spot on. The room was absolutely gorgeous and the attention to detail was unreal, even down to cotton buds and cotton balls. There was nothing I needed to take as everything was provided. The location couldn't have been any better and the breakfast was superb . Thanks again Steve and Caz we will definitely be returning. There is no way we will stay anywhere else.

Overall service was first class. Both Steve and Caz were so helpful throughout our stay and provided great recommendations for eating and drinking. The whole place is cosy, extremely clean and the interior design is excellent. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, we loved how organised Steve and Caz are with taking your order the evening before. To top it off, the location is amazing. We will definitely be returning in the near future. You can tell Steve and Caz have a vast amount of experience working in the hospitality industry.
