This is a great B+B hotel, we booked direct, its centrally located, and spotlessly clean, we just stayed in the classic double which was a great size, had a lovely view, generous amounts of tea, coffee, milk etc in your room, ice making machine and buckets on the landing outside so you can keep your drinks chilled, a lovely gift...

The hotel is fine, its clean and the breakfast was generous and tasty. However the hotel décor is ugly and it lacks any charm, you wont find any real log fires or pretty views here, I appreciate this is subjective.

The Lakes Lodge is perfectly located on Lakes Road 2 minutes from all the shops and restaurants in Ambleside. We stayed in Room 1 which was spacious with a good sized bathroom and nice views of the mountains. Breakfast was good and the staff were very attentive. A good value B&B.

Knowing that I'd wanted to try this lovely B&B out for a while, my wife booked a stay for my birthday weekend. I wasn't disappointed. We were welcomed straight away and the stress of traffic jams on the M6 immediately disappeared. Ambleside has countless bed and breakfasts and over the years I have stayed in a fair few. The Lakes...

Just stayed for two nights at Lakes Lodge. Had a lovely break in a warm, comfortable and friendly place. Staff were very helpful, polite and courteous and nothing was too much trouble. We come here every year as a large family group to remember our little Grandaughter's Anniversary/birthday. We always book out all of the superior rooms to the side of the property and a number of rooms in the main house. Every room is spotless and comfy. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and Cathy amazes us by remembering...
