We stayed at Damson Ghyll for two nights as we were attending a wedding locally. We cannot fault our trip. Jan and family treated as though we were old friends. I have stayed here on several occasions and would highly recommend it. Very comfortable rooms, tv, tea and coffee, good shower, dogs welcome. Excellent breakfasts looking out over the hills with red squirrels in the garden.

We were guests at a wedding in Lorton just outside Cockermouth and booked to stay at this B&B. Our room was fairly small but extremely well appointed with a settee to sit and read the newspaper. We had a lovely stay at Damson Ghyll when we came to Buttermere and Cockermouth for a close friend's wedding. Lesley and Jan were such great hosts who opened their home to us and made our stay very comfortable. The room was clean and cosy, the bathrooms well furnished with modern fittings which was ideal.
