Travellers' Choice
Beautifully designed boutique style bed and breakfast guest accommodation in the heart of the English Lake District in the delightful village of Coniston. Coniston Water and the Old Man of Coniston are just a few minutes walk away. We've just got back from 5 days in the lovely Lakeland House in Coniston. We stayed in room 1 which was excellent with beautiful views of the Old Man. The room was decorated in what I'd describe as a contemporary "John Lewis" style. Three large windows gave lovely views across the village and the Old Man. The only downside was the lack of privacy, however the views made up for it. The staff were all extremely friendly and very welcoming. Plus the benefit of a lovely breakfast in the morning. All in all our stay couldn't have been any better. We'll be back!

Stayed here as a couple for 2 nights. Perfectly situated in the village centre. Check in was very easy, all information was emailed through before arrival with room key and breakfast information left in the hall to allow for COVID-19 regulations. The view from our room was amazing, looking straight at The Old Man of Coniston. Breakfast was really nice, with a range to choose from including full English and American Pancakes with bacon and maple syrup 😋 all staff were very friendly and service was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

Stopped here as a couple for a weekend away. Room nice, tidy and warm. Bed very comfy. Had a lovely view of Conniston Old man out of the window. Breakfast was really nice and you choose a time to avoid too many people eating at once. Lots of hand sanitizer around the building. Free parking and opposite. Would stay here again.

Had a lovely two night stay here, the room was clean and warm. The owners have put stringent covid restrictions in place such has staggered breakfast sittings to minimise contact with the staff and other visitors. The food was lovely and the waiting staff were also lovely and very friendly. The view from our room was fantastic especially watching the sun set behind the old man of coniston. Would definitely stay here again

Took partner for 3 night Birthday break. We weren't disappointed. Lovely place, staff and breakfast. Right in middle of Coniston so able to park car and walk about. Just the job. They tried hard with the social distancing etc by staggering breakfast times and trying to reduce contact--difficult times for everybody.
