We had a wonderful stay at the Inn at Grasmere, we luckily manage to get a parking space just near the reception area, we had read previous reviews saying only small amount of parking. Our check-in was quick and easy. The room was lovely and spacious. We had cream tea included in our secret escape deal which was very nice. Our evening meals on both nights were great tasting with plenty of choice. Breakfasts in the restaurant was very well organised and plenty to choose from. Only suggestion for breakfast time is to have a small bin or receptacle for rubbish like Weetabix wrappers. We had a lovely walk around the village and a short walk up to Allan Bank (Wordsworth's home) even in the rain this was enjoyable. All the staff worked very well as a team and were very helpful and efficient especially Amber and Martin who really looked after us. We will stay here again, hopefully in better weather.

Great team meant we felt welcomed and comfortable. The rooms had great beds and options to make hot drinks. We were on DBB-food was excellent with no limitations and waiting staff brilliant even though very busy.Lounge area inviting and good place to spend time. Pool clean, smallish but open 8 am until 10 pm! We were with two elderly parents who had limited mobility-staff were kind and compassionate. The drinks were representative of the area and again staff very helpful. The venue is in the centre of Grasmere -access to beautiful countryside is immediate!! We have booked to come again. Thankyou Faye and Rhiannon

Spent 3 lovely days at The Inn at Grasmere. Lovely room but far too hot even with radiators off.Rm 106. Bed comfy, room clean, hot water boiling hot.We had food in the restaurant at breakfast every day and ate there in the evening on 2 occasions. Food is delicious and plentiful. Its a dog friendly hotel this did not bother us and all the dogs were well behaved and friendly. Big shout out to all the staff, they were very plesant and helpful. Fantastic cheap bus routes into the surrounding areas, bus stop very close to hotel.

We stayed for 2 nights the weekend after Easter. Having booked a deluxe double and a standard double it was impossible to tell the rooms apart. That aside, the rooms were comfortable and as well apportioned as they could be given the age and structure of the building. The pool and sauna were a treat and breakfast although perhaps a little too regimented was also great. We didn’t manage to get a parking space on site, but there were loads of spaces at the sister hotel about 400m away which we used. It’s a bit quirky (why have different breakfast starting times on for Saturday and Sunday?) and the accommodation is good rather than excellent, but it’s a decent hotel in the best location. Will definitely be back.

This is a pleasant pub/hotel with friendly service. There is some limited parking available too. Our welcome was warm and our room was on the first floor. It seemed a little dated in places such as the wardrobe and drawers and the bathroom was a little cramped and could do with a little love. The bed was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. The location is excellent and there is plenty to enjoy in the village. Breakfast was ok but a little chaotic however the quality of the food was good. It really deserves a 3.5 but could not choose this !

The whole experience was excellent. We booked through secret escapes with a deal for bed, breakfast, 3 course evening meal and cream tea. The hotel was lovely, we spent time in the residents lounge, the room was lovely and warm. The staff were excellent and the food absolutely gorgeous. Faye and Ben were particularly attentive but not over bearing. We are looking to book again in September.

Stayed in "Helm Crag" and the room was wonderful. Clean, spacious and very comfortable with it's lovely floor length picture window overlooking the fells. It's nicely situated in Grasmere village being central to everything. The food was great at breakfast and dinner and you can order a cream tea to take in the residents lounge. Staff were professional and courteous. If I could improve anything, I would ask that they get another toaster as there was quite a queue building up at breakfast! Also be aware that parking is not great if guests have mobility problems as the car park was full when we arrived and for the duration of our stay. We were therefore asked to park, for free, at The Bridge House Hotel instead (which I think is owned by the same company) and it is approx 100m away. Overall, had a lovely stay and we would return in a heartbeat.

My job requires me to use hotels many times a year and it is not often that I feel compelled to provide feedback; however, this little gem of a hotel (which I don't really want to tell many people about) deserves justifiable accolade. You feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door with a warm friendly greeting at reception. The snug public bar area and leather sofa adorned residents lounge provides ample comfort to avail of a cream tea or quaff a pint of decent local real ale, or just sit back and chill after a dip in the pool. The accommodation was perfect for our needs, clean, warm and pleasant with plenty of room, even a tray for your muddy boots. The menu was not excessive but catered for the majority of tastes, they even have a dedicated gluten free menu; all food was wholesome and tasty and you did not go wanting for more. The biggest plus point in my opinion was the staff, it is not often where you find an establishment where ALL the staff treat you as if you were the only guest in the hotel,; personable, friendly, attentive (but not over bearing) and professional. I would like to call out a few members of staff who made our stay of two nights memorable and thoroughly enjoyable. Ben, Faye, Gabi, Amber and Daniel - thank you for your service and personal touch, it made our stay.

Einfach-Klasse (simply brilliant), day off from my medical entrance exam studies and Arbeit (work). Decided to frequent the bar/lounge, hug the fire and sip a couple of drinks. Atmosphere was great, twice the Receptionist stoked the fire to keep me comfortable. I live in nearby Ambleside, but Grasmere Just has that Je ne sais quoi (I don’t know what)🙏☮️✌️🐇
