Beautifully situated hotel, gorgeous grounds with plenty of walks with varying difficulty. The hotel is under going some refurbishment but we didn't feel like this affected our stay at all, the dinning and lounge areas are very tastefully decorated. Comprehensive wine lists that isn't crazy expensive. We had the 8 course vegan tasting menu, seriously good food! Staff are super...

It feels like an extension of home. Attentive staff Jackie, Adrian et al. Not sure what to say that would convey what a special hotel this is. It feels so personal, tailor made. This visit was bought as a gift for my birthday I almost don't want to tell you in case we can't get a room when we want....

Lancrigg is down a very windy & dark country lane but it is a beautiful building. The restaurant was very quiet when we got there and we got seated straight away. Canapés were brought out to us instantly (all vegan) along with a nice jug of lemon water, now I'm not 100% sure what they were but I know the...

I spent just under a week here in June 2016. It was, typically, a week of mixed weather but I was very happy out on the hills hiking around. I was delighted to be able to come back to a friendly hotel where I could have a bath after my hike and sit down to choose from the whole menu...

My wife and I had been planning to eat here for some time, the rarity of a vegetarian restaurant is too good to miss and make's a welcome change from the usual one vegetarian "option" most places offer. The property is secluded in a woodland and on the outskirts of Grasmere, driving up in the dusk we spotted deer grazing...

This was our second visit to Lancrigg and it was a joy to return. The beautiful country hotel, the stunning setting of the Easedale valley and the beautiful tranquil woodland gardens provide everything you need for a truly relaxing break. We noticed some recent stylish refurbishments throughout adding greatly to the charm and ambience of the place. We tried the...

Me and my husband visited the restaurant last night, the food was phenomenal as was the service! We had the five course menu and every single course was delicious. Would 100% recommend it was the best meal we've ever had!

We go to Grasmere 3-4 times a year and thought we would try this place for the first time. Great choice! On arrival the staff were friendly and very accommodating. It's quite easy to find but slightly further out of the village than we first thought three quarters of a mile to be precise. A nice walk all the same...

I've just enjoyed a great weekend at the Lancrigg over the New Year. Our room was very spacious and comfortable which was a good foundation for a brilliant weekend. The staff were very attentive, helpful and most pleasant. This helped to make our stay very relaxing. The food was fantastic and being veggie meant I didn't need to question whether...
