Stayed in Easedale for 2 nights. Lovely room with amazing views of Helm Crag. This is luxury comfy bed and fab bathroom. Little extras that make your stay even more special. Jacky is so friendly and helpful. The property is totally Covid safe and the measures Jacky has introduced work really well eg pre ordering of breakfast and hand sanitisers in public areas and in rooms. Breakfasts are brilliant with a really good choice. They set you up for the day. Raise View is ideally situated in Grasmere at the quieter part of the village. There is private car park. Excellent walks are on your doorstep. We can't wait to return. Thank you Jacky.

It’s all in the title. Raise view is simply amazing. We booked last year for my birthday, but had to postpone because of covid and it was well worth the wait. Jacky is the perfect host and everything is pristinely clean and cosy.
We stayed in the Silver How suite - all 3 windows have a stunning view and you can soak in the bath with views to the countryside. Every detail has been thought of including complimentary Sherry in the room and fresh milk in the fridge. Breakfast was delicious, definitely recommend a cooked breakfast with local produce, also the fresh fruit and porridge equally as delicious. The other lovely factor to this property is that a beautiful comfortable lounge to sit in, which some b&b’s don’t have. My husband and I shared a bottle of Prosecco in the lounge for my birthday, much nicer than having it in the bedroom.
Sadly we didn’t visit any of the area because we walked on both days from the house, so didn’t even use the car, which was really lovely and Grasmere alone was nice to walk round.
This is the longest review I’ve ever done, because so many positive things to say!
Thank you Jacky

From arriving to leaving this is a first class b&b . We were warmly welcomed by Jacky the owner , & shown around the b& b . The room we had was on the 2nd floor Helm crag , with superb views . The room & en-suite bedroom was spotlessly clean & there were lovely extra touches without being OTT . The bed was very comfortable. There is an information booklet & Jacky was very knowledgeable about the area & surrounding area , including the various places to eat some being an 8-10 mins easy walk away in the village . Breakfast was faultless with good quality sausages bacon & other fresh produce . A thoroughly enjoyable stay despite Storm Dennis

It’s not often you find a place to stay where so much thought and attention has gone in to the details. Jacky has poured her heart into her business and clearly loves what she does. We stayed in the Easedale room with incredible views over fields to Helm crag and Easedale- utterly breathtaking. Beautifully furnished, crisp white linen, large roll top polished wood bed, fan and a large modern bathroom with walk in shower and automatic low level lighting for those nighttime trips to the loo. The finishing touches include high end locally sourced toiletries from the Bath House in Ambleside, herdy mugs, eco coffee bags, a mini bar on the upstairs landing with drinks to buy and cold milk for each room. There are binoculars for bird watching, a large selection of hot and cold food for breakfast and full table service in the morning with stylish crockery in the lovely dining room. There is a cosy sitting room with maps, walks and board games. Jacky’s whole property is spotlessly clean with stylish soft furnishings and a well tended colourful garden with a full garden set overlooking the splendid views. She has parking to the side and front of the property. She is situated a short 10 minute walk into the centre of grasmere with its selection of up market hotels and eateries. Even though it was bank holiday weekend it was quiet and peaceful surrounded by the beautiful hills of easedale fairfield and loughrigg….
Just perfect ❤️

A massive thankyou to Jacky and her team who provide exceptional service in this lovely guesthouse a short walk from the village.
There are only a few rooms so book early if you want the luxury of a suite but our standard room was fully equipped including tea & coffee facilities, we had a lovely comfortable bed and the bathroom has been completed updated and is spotless throughout.
Jacky was kind enough to chill a bottle of wine we brought with us and provided the glasses for us to enjoy in the comfort of the downstairs lounge
We booked a time slot for our breakfast and pre-ordered our choices the night before and the food was delivered fresh, piping hot and delicious.
Can't thank you enough Jacky, we will definitely return.

So pleased we found this gem. Stayed for 2 nights and wished we’d booked more! We chose the gorgeous Rothay room at the top of the house with amazing views of Helm Crag and a beautifully appointed bathroom. Breakfast was cooked perfectly, everything is spotlessly clean and Jacky the owner was so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be booking to stay again soon. Highly recommended.

My wife and I are very regular visitors to the Lake District and with a particular fondness for Grasmere, as a result over the years we have pretty much sampled most of the available accommodation in this most beautiful of locations. On a previous visit our short walks into the centre of Grasmere took us past Raise View House and outward appearances were so very favourable we decided we must give it a try. Subsequently booked for three nights in the Wordsworth room. The owner Jacky is the perfect host, welcoming and so attentive in ensuring an enjoyable stay. Our Wordsworth room was a very good size, situated on the first floor to the front of the house it was absolutely immaculate and very nicely appointed throughout with a very comfortable bed, I have no doubt all the other rooms available are of an equally high standard. Breakfast was excellent with an extensive list of options to choose from, a great way to start the day. Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations and based on an extensive experience of using accommodation in Grasmere my wife and I can safely say Raise View House is right up there with the very best available, our only regret is that we hadn’t booked before now and we definitely look forward to opportunity of returning.

Our first visit to this beautiful B&B. Spotless, very tastefully decorated to a high standard and well equiped, with great attention to detail in everything. Good location, good breakfast, very friendly. Highly recommended. We would definitely go back again.

We stayed at Raise View for a couple of nights between Christmas and New Year and cannot rate this boutique B&B and its warm and welcoming host, Jacky, highly enough. We stayed in the Silver How suite with its spectacular fell views on three sides. The huge bath (with a beautiful view) is perfect for relaxing after a long hike - with G&Ts from the honesty bar in the lounge. Lovely hearty breakfast (lots of choice and quality ingredients) and a super comfy bed. A great location on the edge of Grasmere. A lot more peaceful than staying in the hustle and bustle of Ambleside or Bowness. When can we come back?

Another perfect stay at Raise View.
I had stayed here in December 2021 and loved it so much that I booked Raise View for 2 nights for my partner's birthday just before Christmas 2022. We got engaged at Easedale Tarn during our recent stay here - a walk that had been recommended to me by Jacky, the host of Raise View, the year before in the first place!
The location of Raise View is perfect, a short walk up the main road out of Grasmere village. There is off the road parking, and the house and rooms are exceptionally clean. The services are second to none. We stayed in the Silver How suite, and the view of Helm Crag from the bath is to die for. The house has 5 suites, and is quiet so you can't hear the other guests, meaning a good night's sleep is guaranteed.
The breakfast is exceptional, and nothing is too much to ask for of Jacky and her team. She can provide great suggestions of things to do in the area, such as walks, cafe's, restaurants, etc.
Thank you Jacky and her team for such a memorable stay. We will most certainly be back!

Hi we don’t have individual fridges in the rooms but we do have two small drinks fridges in the guest lounge although space is limited. We are very happy to store things in our large fridges in the kitchen and store room. You could have access to those as well. Hope that answers your question? Kind Regards Jacky

We are on the edge of the village but only a 5 minute walk from our front door to the village centre. There is a good choice of places to eat from up market Michelin star to quirky characterful cafes and restaurants. The nearest pub food is at the local hotel situated just 3 mins walk from our front door. If you drop me an email I can send you our list of local eateries. stay@raiseview.uk
