Lovely setting and friendly staff but considering the quality of food in this region it was very disappointing pub food. It has potential and could be a very good place for pub food. The menu choice was ok. Would like to see more traditional pub food menu but the curry was very disappointing and the ham steak very dry. Nice...

From the moment we walked through the door the waitress Mikaela could not do enough for us. Fantastic employee. I booked this hotel through Groupon and was so happy when we arrived! It's a beautiful traditional hotel with a real rustic feel. Our room was lovely, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was very clean and seemed recently upgraded as it was great! We enjoyed our sleep each night and the room was definitely fit for purpose. I read...

The food was OK, not breathtaking, my homemade burger was decent but no better. Good selection of local ales and the pub was lovely and warm with very friendly staff. We had two dogs and a member of our group was in a wheelchair, the staff were very helpful and suggested we booked, it was a good location and we...

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, It's great to hear you were looked after by our friendly team and that you enjoyed warm atmosphere and tasty local ales. I'm sorry to hear our home made burgers were only 'decent' though! Hopefully it's just a matter of personal taste, but if not, and if there was a problem with...

Visited with my family and were unimpressed. We ordered starters and main courses and first issue came with the guy who served us, his attitude was rather rude and we seen him do i it with others too so not just us. We ordered a latte and after 15 mins had to ask where it was, hadnt been made was...

Staff were lovely. Can't do enough. Room was lovely. Very comfortable. Beautiful setting. Food could be beautiful but lacks refinement. Would definitely visit again. Looking forward to seeing if something for kids will be put in outside but it would still attract me back without them!

Thank you for sharing your comments with us! I'm glad you enjoyed great service and comfortable room at our Inn. We're not planning on building an outside kids area I'm afraid, but I hope you'll visit us again regardless :)

Recommended by a friend. Looked promising when we went for anniversary weekend walking weekend. Bar was quite cosy but there was no atmosphere and we soon realised why no one was there -the evening meal was one of the worst I think I have eaten. However our room even though small was well appointed and bathroom etc had obviously been...

From arriving on 23rd Dec to departing on 28th Dec Christina and all the other staff made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, a very good choice in the evening and an excellent breakfast menu. As our bedroom was at the front of the Inn the only negative was the traffic noise but...

We stayed here for two nights as a treat to ourselves before the Christmas holidays. On both days we ate breakfast and dinner here and it was all lovely and hearty stuff. I can definitely recommend the cheeseboard and the sticky toffee pudding! The real ale is great and the wine list has a good variety. The best part is...
