We’d heard good things about the Queen’s Head and its menu and thought we should check it out - just for lunch this time but thinking ahead to future evening meals on trips to this bit of the Lakes. The food’s excellent - I had a bowl of delicious white onion soup with rosemary

is the car park secure?
Slate reply. I agree with other peoples answers in that you use the village car park. The area appears to be as safe as any public car park

Hi -During our stay well behaved dogs were allowed, I believe the only no-go area is the morning / breakfast room. I also think if you are staying at the hotel there are "dog friendly" rooms and annexe listed on the tariff.
