Spent five nights on this site in our caravan, very clean facilities, beautiful area, great walks from site. Great low key site ie not too much fussing about ball games, tent distances etc. We had a great time and will be back!

We stayed here for a few days camping. It is a lovely location, plenty of space and a short pleasant walk into the village of Hawkshead. The shower and toilets are immaculate, the nicest I have seen in a campsite. It was very good value for money. The only downside was no play area if you have small children, although...

We have been here many times and love it. Facilities are clean and fabulous, plenty of toilets, free showers, lots of sockets and hairdryers. There is wifi. The site never feels overcrowded. The surrounding walks are great and it is such a short stroll along the stream to Hawkshead village. Great for kids, feels so safe and family friendly. Reasonably...

Have recently returned from a stay at this campsite. The campsite itself is in a good location with great views and a 5 minute walk to Hawkshead. You get left to choose your own spot, a lot of the nice unboggy flat patches were taken which only left ones on a slant, which we decided to avoid. We ended up...

Great location for most of the lakes, short walk to Hawkshead, which isn't too large a place, but big enough for the Co-Op to open late. Campsite has fantastic toilets, always clean. Field is a bit undulating in areas and can be boggy in areas, but as it is not over crowded there are plenty of places to pitch.

Arrived in the rain at lunchtime on a Saturday. I wouldn't leave it much later than that if you want to find somewhere nice and flat to set up camp. Wasn't crowded but maybe in the holidays it would get busier but you get the feeling they limit numbers which keeps it peaceful. Surrounding area is beautiful countryside, only a...
