Best guest house in the Lake District and the best breakfast you will get anywhere at all. We have been visiting for many years and always return because we cannot find anywhere to beat this place. The interior is cottagey and right out of a Beatrix Potter book. In fact Hill Top is only around the corner. The rooms are... More

We recently stayed for one night and had a fantastic time. This is such a lovely bed and breakfast, great rooms and fabulous walks and scenery right outside the door. The breakfast was fantastic, and the hosts are really friendly. This was our second stay and we hope to be back.

From the first phone call we fell in love with this place. Came here to search wedding venues and even before we confirmed the lovely couple that run the place gave us several places to look into. Talking of the owners, you can't ask for a nicer couple they totally made us feel at home. The breakfast is fantastic (you... More

The glorious display of flowers was the first thing we noticed when visiting this lovely B&B. The front garden was a joy to behold and very enticing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely house with its literary links to Beatrix Potter. Breakfasts were exceptionally good with an excellent choice. On-site parking was a bonus as parking in the... More

Perfect B&B in a very scenic location. We had lovely views from our room, a comfy bedroom for the night after a great evening meal at the pub next door. Breakfast was superb! A great start to the day. There are adequate number of parking spaces and only a few miles from Hawkshead.

Super B&B in an ideal location, with such genial hosts. The room was delightful and the breakfast fantastic. The gardens are simply beautiful with a host of flowers and plants which create such a wonderful atmosphere.

Both the rooms and the hosts are simply wonderful. The location is also great - just a few minutes from the major towns of the Lake District, but remote and quiet. We had a beutiful walk just from the door of the guesthouse, the views of Esthwaite Water when walking down the hill are splendid. Very highly recommended!

Booked Buckle Yeat's single room (of which there have been no photos until now, so I didn't know what a lovely little room I was getting) on a Saturday and stayed for one night on the Sunday. Beautiful building and setting, very peaceful but right next to the pub, friendly but not over-attentive service, and delicious and extensive breakfast. The... More

I booked Buckle Yeat a few months in advance of planning a Beatrix Potter themed trip to the Lakes. I was delighted that they had a double and single room available in late June, with very reasonable prices. When I arrived with my companion after a nine hour drive from Bath, we received a warm welcome not only from the... More
