Taken me a while to catch up with this review. But i couldn't praise Sandra and Chris highly enough. Lovely accommodation and great hosts. The special touches as well, getting soya products in, for the Vegan member of our family. Not forgetting Chris's knowledge of the surrounding area and advise on walks. The weather was great for April as well

This B&B was one of the best we've stayed in (and we travel a lot). Spotlessly clean and a very comfortable room, fantastic powerful shower, nice organic shampoo and decent shower gel, excellent view, great service from Chris and Sandra who are very friendly. Breakfast was brilliant. Good location. 10 min walk to the main Kendal High Street. 10 out...

The proprietors Sandra and Chris are most welcoming and friendly when arriving at their large Victoria House. We stayed in the Bed and Breakfast suite and boy what a suite. Beautifully light and highly decorated room with a huge comfortable bed. Large windows which you can see the rolling hills of the lake district . The en-suite has the wow...

We toured Scotland and the Lakes for two weeks and this was the best B&B by far. Chris and Sandra were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The room was delightful and the bathroom was beautiful with lots of little extras. Breakfast was extensive and really set us up for the day and a visit from Rosie the...

My wife and I had already been given glowing reports about this Bed and Breakfast Gem and during our week long stay expectations were even exceeded. Our room (with a great view) is very spacious, beautifully appointed, tastefully decorated and furnished. The ensuite bathroom is the big feature of this accommodation and it is superb! Breakfast time is a real...

We can't praise this guesthouse highly enough. It was our wedding on 27th June and we really lucked out by booking Friday and Saturday nights to stay at Airethwaite before and after our wedding. Total luxury, spacious lovely old Georgian terraced house (beautifully furnished and decorated) and fab bedroom and bathroom, plus Sandra and Chris's lovely personal touches made this...

My hubby and I stayed at this lovely B&B after watching the Great North Swim at Windermere. We didn't arrive until 7pm but we were warmly welcomed and offered tea or coffee on arrival. Our room was beautiful with a huge full bathroom with added extras which made the stay all the more special. We had to leave at 7.30...

This Bed and Breakfast was excellent. The price for the room could have been pppn and it would have still been a bargain. Stayed at a very rated hotel in Windermere after staying here and unfortunately they couldn't live up to the expectations we had after staying here. Even Betty the pup was welcoming.

We stayed over the Easter weekend and had a great stay. Sandra and Chris were friendly, welcoming and kind hosts. Our room was amazing; so clean, fresh and every day the tea/coffee and biscuits were topped up and Sandra even left a chocolate bunny as it was Easter! The en-suite was cleaned every day with fresh towels. The breakfasts were...
