Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A very warm welcome, very friendly staff. Although very busy on a Sunday evening in the restaurant the staff were very diligent and my meal was served quickly. The food was excellent. The room was well presented , clean and well appointed. Online checkin and checkout and worked well. Have stayed before and eaten here over the last number of years and have never been disappointed. I would recommend this hotel for both staying and eating.

We stayed for 1 night meeting up with relatives from around the country as the hotel is just off the motorway it was perfect. The staff were friendly, we had a function room for the family meal and the food was excellent. The room was spacious clean and well equipped. After a great breakfast we set off all in all a really nice hotel on the edge of the lakes reasonable prices and good facilities recommended

Once again another great stay at the Crooklands Hotel. The hotel and rooms are spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The evening meal plus breakfast were very good. Already booked for another stay.

A lovely, family run hotel just 1 mile from the M6. Very friendly staff who waited up late for me to arrive. The room was lovely and warm, well decorated and the best was one of the most comfortable I have slept on! Ideal at the end of a long day. Breakfast was superb and all the staff very helpful and friendly. I have already recommended Crooklands to my colleagues who travel the country!

As usual the stay here was great. We were there for a meeting with the Northern Paperweight Society. There was a group of about 30 with the meeting and meal. All the staff were excellent and the food was lovely. All the staff are well trained and the customer experience is, as always, great. If you are every visiting the Lake District then book your stay here. You will not regret it.

Enjoyed our 2 night stay. Food was great, and the staff were all excellent and friendly. Reported an issue with the radiator in the room, they checked it immediately and offered a room swap (we did not take the offer, as it was the last night and we could just open the window). I would highly recommend the hotel and staff.

A very nice room and bathroom with an excellent walk in shower. The Hotel was smart and clean and the staff confident and friendly. A big car park and easy too find and perfect for a stop from the M6. I will come again. The best burger I have ever had.

Crooklands is an excellent place to stay. We use it as an overnight stop while travelling down from Scotland. Our room was very comfortable. The evening meals, in the restaurant, are not to be missed - be safe and book yourself a table, as they can get very busy. Buffet continental breakfast and cooked to order food set you up for the day ahead. Definitely recommend.
