What a fabulous place to stay! In an ideal spot with beautiful scenery. Directly in front is the park with several golf courses ie crazy golf and a family fun 9 hole (think I’m saying that right), cafes, ice cream and strolls around the floral park. Literally around the corner are the shops, cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants - best to book! From the park we walked around Dewent Waters - 10 miles! Lots of other walks available. Now back to Appletree’s - absolutely nothing to complain about! A fabulous warm welcome from the owner Cathrine. We loved our room (room 2 dog friendly) so comfy! Lovely and clean with stunning views. Tea & Coffee and Cathy goes that extra mile and makes home made cakes 😋😋. Great selection at breakfast - I had porridge and a fresh cooked English breakfast. Extra cup of tea taken up to the Guest lounge. We made use of the lounge in the evenings - playing cards with friends. We cannot wait to return!! Oh ps very dog friendly 🐶…
Appletrees is a wonderful B&B in Keswick. Location is perfect and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble for them, from giving us walking directions to extra tea bags for the room. We felt right at home 😊
I would 100% recommend Appletree Guest House if you are looking to stay around the Keswick area, the wonderful stay starts with a very warm welcome from Catherine. The rooms were lovely and clean with amazing views, the home made cake is a wonderful touch. Breakfast was excellent and freshly made with a great choice, the location could not be better being a 5/10 min walk to the center and a 10 min walk to the lake side. What could be better than returning to a great guest house with home made cake after a long walk, sitting in the guest lounge eating cake drinking coffee and looking at some amazing views it does not get much better. This is the place to stay in Keswick, don't hesitate book and enjoy
We need a room at short notice after storm Arwen. Catherine was great, really helpful and obliging. Impotantly our room was warm, and very clean and comfortable. Great value for money considering it's great location and views, also the fact that it was only literally a couple of minutes walk into town. I wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending Appletrees, believe me it's a name you will not forget after staying here.
A really nice B&B in a superb location in Keswick looking out to the Lakeland fells. I stayed for 3 days in a lovely twin room, which was spotlessly clean, and extremely well appointed with a shower-room that looked very new. The breakfasts were excellent too with a wide choice of options, which were all freshly prepared for you. Lots of other nice little touches too like fresh milk to use in your tea or coffee in the bedroom, tasty cake in the guest lounge which was a nice treat when returning in the afternoon after being out walking, and a drying room if your clothes and/or boots get wet. Appletrees is located less than 5 minutes walk from the Keswick bus station, so is great if like me you arrive by public transport, or use the local buses for some different walking options. Catherine and her staff are extremely welcoming and friendly, and I'm already looking for some dates next year when I can stay again at Appletrees. Thank you & see you again in 2022!…
Best B&B we have honestly stayed at. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Catherine & staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean, tidy and felt luxurious! The ensuite was perfect as everything you could want/ need is provided at high quality. Biscuits, tea, coffee and hot chocolate were available alongside a kettle to warm us up after long days of hiking. Breakfast was delicious and nicely structured with two sittings; one at 8 and the other at 8.45 with a range of breakfast foods and drinks - all you need to do is fill out a breakfast form & you can have as much/ little as you want and could change this every day. After coming in from rainy days there is also a drying room where you can hang your things and use the floor mats to dry your boots. We will definitely be returning.…
We had a delightful stay at Appletrees. Catherine and the team were most welcoming and they genuinely care about ensuring the guests have an enjoyable experience. We took our little blind dog and she was well catered for. Fabulous location, walking distance to the lake and the marina where you can catch a boat ride around the lake. Just a few minutes walk into town which is also very dog friendly. Cannot recommend enough.
Accommodation was lovely with an amazing view over Derwentwater/Catbells from our room. Lake and town just a few minutes walk away and plenty of beautiful scenic hills to climb nearby. Very pet friendly with certain rooms allocated for people with pets - even have a drying room for four legged friends. Breakfast was lovely too with a large selection to choose from - catering for all dietary preferences. Will definitely be heading back again.
Stayed here for 3 nights, excellent location, staff and breakfast. Poached eggs are amazing must try! The host made us feel very welcome and would help any guests with any queries. Highly recommended and will stay here again. Thanks for the great time!
Absolutely fabulous place. Great location, 5 minutes from centre but peaceful. We stayed in the apartment with our dog. Excellent accommodation, lots of little touches to make you feel welcome. Very clean and well maintained. Lovely front garden with lots of seating and fantastic views. Will definitely be returning.
