This is our third time staying with Sharon and Pete; which, if anything, is testament to just how good this B&B is. From the warm welcome and comfy rooms to the tasty breakfast and insightful recommendations into what is going on in the surrounding area, we recommend looking no further than Burnside. We've been coming back to Burnside over the past 6 or 7 years and we love it. Sharon is the most gracious host and makes a mean brekkie which sets you up for whatever you have planned in the day. Thanks to the re-opening of the cycle path which runs you straight into Keswick, it's now a easy breezy 10 - 15 minute walk into town. The B&B itself is warm, comfortable and provides a great night sleep. It's moved with the times and provides all the amenities you would need for a stay in the lakes. It is for these reasons and more that whenever we fancy a trip to Keswick, we will always look no further than Burnside.…

What a beautiful little gem! Just got back from a 2 night last minute stay at this b&b. Sharon, the hostess was just super friendly and helpful. The b&b was clean and cosy. The breakfast was 10/10 and that’s just the mushrooms!! Loved the cottage feels from the William Morris style decor. The log burner whilst having breakfast added to the cosy and cottage feel. I can’t wait to stay here again in the future. Thank you Sharon and Peter!

Just got back from a fabulous 3 night stay at Burnside b&b Keswick. As ever Sharon the owner goes above and beyond with her hosting. Very generous breakfasts, excellent quality, homemade jams and marmalade. Comfortable rooms with everything that you need. Close proximity to Keswick town to walk . We loved our stay at Burnside, the rooms are so homely and the location is great - just a short walk into the town. Breakfast was delicious - you are able to choose off a menu each day so the variety is great. We will definitely be returning! Thanks for an amazing stay.

Lovely stay at the Burnside with friends. The host Sharon is really lovely & so welcoming & full of helpful advice re the area & places to eat. The Burnside is just out of town but a reasonable 15 minute walk into town along the pedestrianised railway track which is nice & flat. Rooms are comfortable & spotlessly clean and the breakfast’s are tremendous. Will definitely book again

Lovely, pleasant hostess in Sharon who runs an excellent B&B Rooms small but immaculate Best breakfast we have had in the Lakes Will certainly return Nice down hill walk along old railway line into Keswick Also very good nights sleep in a very quiet area

You really do get the personal touch at Burnside B&B, with a warm welcome from Sharon who has a fantastic knowledge of the town and things to do around the area. What a lovely place on the outskirts of Keswick, with a lovely 15 minute walk via a tree lined cycle path into the bustling town centre. The B&B is tastefully decorated and totally in keeping with the age of the property, which you can tell has been lovingly restored by the owners. The room was very restful, clean, spacious and the double bed incredibly comfy. We were in Room 2 which is at the front on the first floor with two windows - one a big bay. This en-suite room is very spacious with a sofa (which is a also a sofabed), lovely William Morris wallpaper and original cast iron fireplace. Street parking is available just over the road. Breakfast was freshly prepared to order with lots of choice. We had most things during our two night stay, including the usual full English, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs or fresh and fluffy pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. Tea, coffee and toast with Sharon’s home-made jam and marmalade were plentiful and tasty. Very comfortable and relaxing stay.…

Booked a 2 night stay at the Burnside. On arrival we were given a warm welcome by Sharon, who helpfully marked out on a map a shortcut into town, recommendations for places to eat and other helpful info. We stayed in room 2 which had an elegant metal bed and a sofa bed (both of which were very comfortable), with crisp white luxury bedding. The room was tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. Excellent choice at breakfast in another beautifully decorated room (with a much welcome log burner on a chilly morning). Breakfast was excellent (espec the mushrooms!). Sharon is a lovely lady, and a great host. Wouldn't hesitate to return.
