We had the best 5 days stay, the room was comfy and felt covid safe as it was cable locked when we got there. Brilliant process in place to have change of towels, more coffee, biscuits etc without any etc staff in room. The breakfasts were some of the best I've had, the sausage was the best. Staff so friendly and helpful. Honesty bar is a great option and great prices. Hotel is in a great location, we only took the car out once to Grasmere, so many local walk.

Lovely hotel, spotlessly clean. Staff very friendly. We had The East Turret room with spectacular views over the park and Derwent Water. Breakfast was lovely, lots of choice and very well presented. Only a short walk to the town centre. Car park was a bit hard to find at first. You need to drive up the unnamed road at the back of The Hazeldene hotel until you reach the back of Highfield Hotel and the car park is on your right. Easy once you’ve found it. Have already rebooked to go back in October. Thank you to all at Highfield for making it such a lovely stay.

We had a lovely short stay midweek The property is within easy walking distance to just about everywhere locally. It benefits from it’s own car park at the rear also. Great size rooms with fantastic views we had room 18. It was exceptionally clean and well organised. Breakfast was good too and the service great thanks . We would definitely recommend it and stay there again. Thanks.

This has always been one of our favourite hotels so we have never considered going anywhere else when in Keswick. Sadly, this is no longer the case. Of course, the view from room 9 is probably the best in Keswick - we love it. Also the room is well appointed with a really comfortable bed. There is a good selection of cereals and fruits on the cold buffet; however the cooked breakfast was swimming in grease - totally unappetising. There is now an honesty bar where the reception used to be, so gone are the days when you would chat to the receptionist on your way in or out. There is now no atmosphere. As a B&B / Guest house, the Highfield is expensive compared to similar establishments in the town so we may now forfeit the view and try alternatives

Would recommend you book your evening meal before you arrive at one of the local restaurants as all booked up weeks in advance and another closex
