Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a 2 night stay at Burns Farm February 2024 for birthday trip away. It was perfect - location, views, cleanliness, the cabins themselves, attention to detail, everything. We would definitely recommend and we hope to be back again soon!

What can we say other than perfection! We recently stayed in one of the Mountain View Cabins and it was just fantastic. Everything was of such high quality and, we did not want for anything. The cabin was amazing, even down to the little finishing touches have been carefully thought of. Bathroom was fantastic, shower was amazing, the kitchen facilities were of the highest quality and again didn't want or need anything. The bed and linen were of the highest standards, everything really has been carefully thought of and is executed to the highest standards. The staff and facilities on site were amazing and we can not recommend this site to our friends and family enough. We are excited to go back and spend more time in such beautiful surroundings. Thank you so much or making our short stay everything and more that we wanted it to be. You should be proud of the hard work, time and effort you have put in to such a beautiful site.

Absolutely stunning! Me and my girlfriend stayed in stickle tarn for 2 nights and can’t recommend enough. On arrival there was a hamper made up in the lodge which had a variety of essentials in. There was milk, fresh orange and Prosecco in the fridge. Needless to say Burns Farm have got the little touches off to a T. The only word to describe the whole experience would be faultless as it was everything you’d want - it was immaculately clean, all furniture was really comfy and communication from staff was second to none. Perfect location, plenty of places to walk or drive out. Very scenic and great for pictures. I could go on all day explaining why it’s so good but just look at the pictures, book up and go and see for yourself. Can guarantee they won’t disappoint. Thank you Burns Farm, I’ll be back again at some point.

Absolutely incredible! We only stayed here for 2 nights, but felt so at home. We stayed in Scales Tarn and it was so beautiful, super cosy and had anything we could possibly need. On arrival there is a cute little basket full of teas, coffees, cereal, jams and bread. The view outside was just stunning and such a treat to wake up to. The hot tub was lovely during these cold days. Area perfect as not too far from the town/pub but still some fantastic walks available just outside. A favourite of ours was down past the farm where there are some gorgeous Highland Cows. I had a couple of questions before arriving due to the storms and also a few during our stay, and the staff couldn't do enough to help and were always so polite. If I could rate this over 5 star I would! HIGHLY recommend!!

Decided on a short 2 night weekend stay and the Mountain View VIP were fully booked so we got a Superior Mountain View Cabin. (Blea Tarn) Can’t say good enough things to describe the quality and luxury feel. Really comfortable, underfloor heating, copper bath in the living area, great shower and a welcome basket of supplies (cereal, tea, coffee, bread, mild, orange juice) and Prosecco. A lovely area not far from Keswick and a short drive to Threlkeld for a few nice pubs for dinner. Weather was awful with rain and storms other than a 3 hour window where we went to the Saturday Market in Keswick. A chill, relaxing, restful break in a very comfortable cabin. This is our second stay and we’ll be back. Sunday morning in light drizzle sat in the Hot Tub looking up at Blencathra is a memory to treasure.

We said we could live in one of Lambs Luxury cabins they are absolutely perfect. the views were so beautiful , the kitchen ideal , the robes slippers and hot tub , the enclosed private garden area was perfect for being able to see the big mountains but still keeping the hot tub area screened and a having a safe place for our dog to wander and the location meant we could access all our favourite walks and places in keswick really easily, we knew about Burns from following Max out in the lake district and we will definitely be back again for more visits.

Wow… had a fantastic 2 nights away in red tarn with our puppy. Everything you need is provided and for the dog, bed, bowls, treats and blanket. Lovely welcome pack for the humans. Great enclosed outdoor space shame about the weather so couldn’t make use of the firepit. Hot tub was great. Lovely walk along the river into Keswick. I would definitely return and recommend. Thanks for a fabulous 50th birthday weekend!

Wow! What a place. Me and my partner arrived and got all checked in. Which is easy and you and left to enjoy your time away. The cabins are so clean, modern and a home from home which I always struggled with this feeling especially with cabins not been cosy etc. it’s the complete opposite here. The cabin is so cosy and warm and so peaceful . The views are unreal and a perfect location. We’re on our way home gutted and can’t wait to book again at Burns Farm.
