Booked last minute for Easter Weeked for my daughter and I in one of the bell tents. I can't emphasise enough what a fantastic set up this family run place is. The bell tent was pure luxury with so many lovely, homely touches...fairy lights, extra blankets, comfiest mattress etc. Facilities were state of the art and the cleanest toilets/washroom Ive ever seen on a campsite. The bell tents come with a private wet room - modern and clean. Family run who were all incredibly hospitable and helpful. Even provided us extra logs for the firepit after the office had shut. The views and location was to die for with 360degree mountainous views. We would sit on the decking, hot chocolate in hand and marvel at the beauty all around us. I will definitely return!
Stayed at Burns Farm campsite over the Easter 2022 weekend, our first stay of 2022 and definitely not our last. We’re no strangers to the campsite having stayed here twice last year and enjoyed ourselves so much we couldn’t wait to book again for the 2022 season. It was interesting to see that all of the pitches have now been marked out, with a small picket fence to desperate and all have numbers so your pitch is allocated in your pre-arrival email. This took away any stress or worry about what time to arrive to get a good spot. I’m sure that’s considered just a small change but it’s so helpful. Again the people that run Burns Farm were so helpful, we even managed to snag one of the private family bathrooms at the last moment thanks to the gang there. An extra bit of luxury but the facilities are grand there anyway. The site is perfectly placed to access all areas across the Lake District, and there’s so much within walking distance of the site too. We can’t wait for our next visit!…
Well managed clean site with excellent facilities and friendly helpful staff. Easy to find just off the A66, within 10 mins drive to Keswick and Derwent. Great place to set off on foot for lowland or mountain walks. Stunning scenery with 360 views of the Fells and Mountains. Designated equally sized pitches help prevent any overcrowding and allow personal space without losing a friendly campsite atmosphere. I recommend staying here as we spent 4 nights and couldn't fault it.
Had a fantastic holiday. Campsite was superb . Brilliant views. Excellent amenities. Great , helpfully owners. This was not the first time here so we knew it was going to be good HOWEVER sadly it will be our last time . We were looking to book again for 3 nights in July 2022 but we simply cannot afford the price of the pitch . £42 per night plus £11 per night each for our 2 guests making a 3 night stay of £192 way out of our price range. Yes I know it’s a superb place , I’ve just waxed lyrical about it but no way am I spending that much on a pitch .
Stayed for a couple of nights on touring pitches. Great spacious pitches with stunning views. Excellent shower and toilet facilities. Enjoyed several walks from the site. Lovely pubs and coffee shop in Threlkeld. Will definitely be returning.
