There are many things about this site which is night but just as many wrong. If you want to have your stay ruined this is the place for you. Please avoid. The place is dirty, you are piled on top of each other in a crowded field. There are much nicer and cheaper places near by.

A combination of breath-taking views, good facilities and an extremely kind and helpful host influenced our decision to stay an extra 3 nights. The campsite is a great base for walking, cycling, sightseeing or simply relaxing in the splendour of the Lakeland countryside.

Great location to explore the north/west lakes with good access to A66/A591 and Grasmere/Skiddaw/Blencathra/Helvellyn etc. Touring pitches are slightly on the small side when site is full, and the grass pitches can be a...
