Oh dear how disappointing, two couples stayed for a weekend 16th July DB&B. Our room which was a fair size had a look out of the bins which was fine we don’t spend too long in the bedroom but unfortunately because it had no air con we needed the window open because it’s summer, consequently all the flies came in …. Ugh! But the real issue was our bathroom which was absolutely filthy!! We spoke to reception about it straight away he was sorry and informed us there wasn’t any housekeeping staff available to clean it at which we had a discussion and it was cleaned by whoever on our return to bed that night. Overall the food was fine but on our first breakfast my husbands cup had lipstick on so the cleanliness overall was not very good. The lounge/bar staff could not have been more efficient or friendly thank you to them for brightening a disappointing stay.. When we handed our key in the receptionist asked if we had enjoyed our stay you can imagine our reply, Unfortunately to date the management have not even had the decency to send a note or email giving a formal apology so clearly they’re not that bothered.

Just spent a very relaxing long weekend at KCHH. The hotel doesn’t have the feel of a chain, staff are very friendly and attentive. Service at breakfast very good as was the breakfast itself. Masks are optional(brilliant) so it was nice to get back to old ways of seeing staff smiling. Chose hotel mainly because it has a car park, something very rare these days it would seem. Just a five minute walk down the road, past the parks, sees you in the centre of Keswick, a very bustling town with plenty of bars and choices of different places to eat if you don’t want to eat at the hotel. Next time we are in the area, we will be very sure to book in here again.

Comfortable old fashioned hotel set in a quiet part of Keswick but only a 10 minute stroll from the centre. Helpful staff, great restaurant. Rooms a good size. Disappointed that while we were there for the week the restaurant was not available in the evening to guests who had only booked B and B. Fortunately we had booked ahead for the first night but after that we’re not able to book again. Keswick is not blessed with fine dining experiences so if staying at this hotel would recommend including dinner in your booking.

We try and visit this hotel at least once a year so we've been able to watch how it's evolved. After the massive interruption of Covid we expected standards to have slipped but not at all. We had a large room on the upper floor in the Station House that had opening windows on three sides of the room- brilliant in the very hot weather. The only thing we hadn't realised about the Station House rooms is that is were customers with dogs tend to stay. The food was out of this world as usual and the staff without exception were friendly and helpful. Our visit was so good we're returning in October!

Lovely traditional Hotel situated in a quiet location with large grounds, a short walk away from Keswick town Centre. The staff were all very welcoming. The food is utterly delicious, generous portions and beautifully presented. The Restaurant Manager is very professional, on the ball and pitches in clearing and re-setting tables, she was great at making sure her team knew I was wheat intolerant and the menu was fully explained every evening, with adjustments being made no problem by the fabulous chef and super kitchen staff. The bar prices are reasonable for a a hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night mid week stay in room 105 which had super views. There was a heat wave when we stayed so the room got very hot indeed as there are lots of large windows, but under normal weather circumstances is a great room. We would definitely recommend a stay here.
