Our stay over Easter weekend was great. Their hospitality is second to none, including a nice home made cake every evening waiting for us in our return from our walks. Location and room also great to both walk and enjoy Keswick.

I stayed at the Cartwheel on the weekend of the 25/26th March 2017. I have stayed here numerous times since Nigel and Debra bought the B&B and will continue to do so. I usually travel alone to go walking and most often use the Single En-suite room. I have stayed as a group also in the past. The Place is fantastic,...

Nigel and Debra have the right balance of chat and space. Cakes are a lovely treat after a good walk. Beds so comfortable. A lovely quiet B and B, short walk in to centre. Lovely breakfasts. What more can I say?

Excellent B&B. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Good breakfast, certainly didn't go hungry. Nice touch, help yourself homemade cake on return each afternoon in dining room. Comfortable clean room, everything we needed. Only slight problem, radiator seemed to go off while we were chilling before going out early evening. Forgot to mention it to Nigel and Deborah! Would definitely stay...

Thanks for your great review; we are glad you enjoyed your stay at The Cartwheel. The afternoon cake is very popular with all our guests! With regard to the radiator in the bedroom, the heating is controlled by a house thermostat, as in most houses, so when the ambient room temperature is reached the radiators will cool. If the temperature...

Breakfast was excellent, I have tried full english and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, both VERY well executed: bacon and sausages were crispy, fried egg perfect, srumbled eggs fluffy and airy.
