Howe Keld is a brilliant place to stay and we could not recommend it highly enough. The accommodation is excellent: large modern rooms and smart bathrooms with lovely toiletries. The location is great - 5 minutes to the lake, supermarket and main bus stop and only 2 minutes to the centre of town. The breakfast options are delicious and always...

We stayed at Howe Keld last week (room 6) for the Keswick Jazz Festival and found this B&B to be the perfect location, 5 minutes walk to the market square, 2 mins walk to the park and 5 mins to the lake of Derwentwater. On arrival we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. Our room was very nice,...

Since we had never been to the Lake District before we chose Howe Keld based on its rating and reviews on this site. We were not disappointed and can confirm all of the good things said about Laura and Jerome and the B&B. The location is central, the rooms are wonderfully decorated and comfortable and the breakfasts are superb. Jerome...

Jerome and Laura have done an excellent job in making this a first-class establishment. So many pros: -Easy access -Private car park -Walking distance to Hope Park, the Lake, the Theatre by the Lake and the central shopping area. -Breakfast prepared by Chef Jerome -Clean, well-appointed rooms. In addition, their knowledge (and enthusiasm) regarding the myriad of hiking adventures makes...

We stayed at Howe Keld for two nights last summer (I know, this review is a bit late coming out). Laura and Jerome were gracious hosts, helping with reservations and other tips. The location is close to the lake and Keswick. The room we were in, Room 11, was quite spacious and the en suite was a comfortable size as...

Enjoyed a 5 night stay over Easter. Our first visit to the Lakes and we were not disappointed with either Keswick or Howe Keld. Whilst we had booked based on a personal recommendation and after seeing previous reviews we were still not expecting such a great place to stay. Howe Keld has clearly undergone a complete refurbishment, is freshly decorated...

One of the best B&Bs we've stayed at. Jerome and Laura are the most gracious hosts and nothing is too much trouble. They are full of helpful information on walks/ restaurants/ things to do on a rainy day/ you name it. The rooms are beautifully appointed with great attention to detail and even the smallest needs catered to. The breakfast...

I was travelling with my friend. We checked into the b&b greeted by Jerome the owner. He made us feel very welcome. Offered to carry our bags and a glass of wine for us. The room was amazing beautifully decorated throughout. Nothing was a bother to them. The breakfast was unbelievable we had eggs benedict with bacon. My friend didn't...

This is the second time I have stayed here with my mum while we have a couple of nights away and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Keswick. The rooms are beautifully kitted out and spotlessly clean. Laura and Jerome are both great hosts and the breakfasts fab. Its a great location to visit the town or go walking, can't wait...
