Keswick is a great town to visit and this B&B is in the centre with a private car park. My husband and I park our car and don’t need to drive anywhere again until we leave. We can stroll to so many places to eat in the evening as the town has many pubs and restaurants.Badgers’Wood is a lovely house which feels like home and Anne and Andrew think of everything to make staying there a pleasure. A small fridge in the hallway has fresh milk and bottled water and of course you can chill your own drinks there. The bed is very comfortable and plenty of tea/coffee/ biscuits are provided. Breakfast is always beautifully cooked with plenty of choice. We particularly like the friendly atmosphere in the dining room where conversation flows and single guests seem at ease. Anne and Andrew come to chat to guests after breakfast and offer advice on the best walking routes, bus routes and Derwentwater cruising options. In our opinion this is 5* accommodation and highly recommend staying there.

I stayed in a single room for x3 nights. A first class centrally based B&B with free off road parking which is a rarity in Keswick. The owners are very pleasant and made the stay very enjoyable.
My room was ‘cedar’ a front facing room with pleasant Mountain View’s. The room was a good size for a single with a very modern en-suite bathroom.
A very comfortable bed and fixtures. The cooked breakfast was excellent with quality produce and non greasy.
A 2 minute walk into the centre. I would very much recommend this establishment and will definitely stay again. One of the best B&B’s I have stayed in within the Keswick area.

This guest house could not be any better just 2minutes walk to the centre of Keswick with good safe parking.
Our room /bathroom was spotless with tea & coffee making facilities , we also had a lovely view of the mountains.
The breakfast menu was fantastic and great choice for anyone in fact I would go as far to say it’s the best cooked breakfast I have ever had in any hotel.
The owners Andrew & Anne are very friendly and helpful always have time to chat with you and advise you on the area , we will definitely return!

We have just had an wonderful 4 night stay. We booked the King size room which has excellent views of the fells from the bay window.

As vegetarians we were very happy with the breakfast selection, which offered plenty to choose from (the veggie sausages were excellent)

Free parking is a bonus & the location is near enough to centre - but very quiet on an evening.

There is a small fridge for guests to use, which is kept topped up with chilled bottled water & milk.

Anne & Andrew are friendly knowledgeable hosts, always happy to chat

We would definitely stay again (this was our 2nd visit)

The hosts are so helpful and gracious. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful, the rooms are a nice size and provide extras like trays for muddy boots, biscuits for your tea and even a hand made sewing kit in a jar. Andrew provided me a print out of the buses I need to take to get to the Beatrix Potter house which is not close. Make this your first choice to stay.

We have just arrived home after a wonderful stay at Badgers Wood..
The guest house is spotlessly clean, we stayed in the king size room which was really comfortable with beautiful views over the fells and two minutes walk into the centre of Keswick with an abundance of shops restaurants and pubs..
The breakfast was delicious with lots of choices and really set you up for the day.
Finally we would just like to say thank you to the hosts Ann and Andrew who made you feel so welcome taking time to chat and make you feel at home with plenty of knowledge about anything you wanted to know..

Thank you again and hope to stay again in the future.

We had an excellent stay last weekend at Badgers Wood. Andy and Ann are fantastic hosts who made us extremely welcome. Our twin room was spotlessly clean with amazing views. The breakfast was immense and set us up for the full day. The car was parked up for 2 days as the location was 100m from the town centre. This will be my go to place to stay next time we visit Keswick.

If cleanliness, excellent upkeep, caring hosts, attention to detail, tasty breakfasts, willingness to accommodate guests above and beyond expectations is important, then you must stay here. Anne and Andrew care about their establishment and service and consequently about their guests. This was a delightful stop on our journey through the UK. Keswick is fortunate to have Badgers Wood Guest House in its inventory of places to stay in this beautiful part of England.

Our 5 night stay at Badgers Wood was delightful from beginning to end. Andrew greeted us warmly and showed us to our parking space, carrying bags back and up to our rooms. Our rooms were lovely with great views and comfy beds. There is a wide choice at breakfast; anything cooked being perfectly done and piping hot! I asked for decaffeinated tea on the first morning and a little tin of decaf teabags appeared in my room that day which was much appreciated. Anne and Andrew joined guests, checking if everything was okay or if more of anything was required. They chatted about plans or asked about the previous day, appearing genuinely interested and never imposed themselves. Advice and recommendations were freely given. If either were there as we returned each day, they were always eager to hear about how things had gone. Both came to say goodbye as we left. I can honestly say I have never stayed anywhere so friendly. It really enhanced our stay in this beautiful area and I cannot recommend it enough.

I cannot speak highly enough of this lovely guest house. Friendly, welcoming hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble, warm comfortable bedrooms with everything you need, and views towards the fells. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious with a wide choice. Anne and Andrew obviously enjoy meeting their guests, and their knowledge of the area and suitability of various walks was extremely helpful, particularly as I had a knee injury which had to be taken into account! I recommend Badgers Wood to anyone visiting Keswick; it's perfectly situated in a quiet road (with private parking), just a five minute walk to the shops and restaurants. If I have the opportunity to return to Keswick I will definitely return to Badgers Wood.

Hello Diane and Ronnie, We have two parking areas. Depending upon the size of your car we can allocate a suitable place. Can you let us know when you think you will be arriving into Keswick? Our normal check in time is from 4.00 until 8.00 pm?
