We already can't wait to return to Leonards Field House, Theresa and Neil looked after us so well that it felt like a home away from home.

This was our first trip away since the pandemic and the B&B has been really well prepared to welcome us all back. There is sanitiser at the door, in the rooms, everything is very clean and breakfast is pre-ordered and prepared so we can all stay safe. Theresa and Neil have really thought and considered everything here and have prepared really well.

The hotel itself is basically in Keswick Town, but far enough that you can park for free which is a big bonus. The room was perfect and exactly what we needed. A really comfortable bed, with soft sheets, we slept incredibly (although the long walks may have helped ha). Our hosts also went above and beyond to make our stay special, leaving small treats to make our day and offering a wealth of advice that could not be gained elsewhere.

Our hosts kindly recommend some beautiful nearby restaurants (book ahead as we would have struggled otherwise) and lovely walks depending on what we fancied.

For the best part of the stay, chef Neil cooked an outstanding breakfast every morning. The local produce, care and attention to detail was duly noted and appreciated and we had clean plates every morning feeling ready to face the day.

This B&B was perfect for us and we felt so welcomed, thank you both. If you're looking for somewhere to stay, stay here.

We initially booked 4 nights in this B & B, and enjoyed ourselves so much we ended up staying for 7! The longest time we have ever stayed in any B & B. Theresa and Neil are a lovely couple, they made us feel welcome the moment we arrived. They have really applied themselves to ensure that guests not only feel welcome but are also covid19 safe. The breakfasts are first class and really set you up for a good day's walking, and it was really appreciated to find a lovely piece of cake in your room to go with your coffee when you returned from your walk. Our room was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. When we return to Keswick this B & B will be our first choice.

We have just returned from a few days staying with Neil and Theresa at their lovely guest house in a quiet street just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Keswick. Our en-suite room included a very comfortable bed, table & chairs and adequate storage space. Our hosts were charming and friendly always keen to chat and assist with any enquiries we put to them. They also provided little touches such as tea, coffee and biscuits in the room every day with an occasional piece of cake! There are excellent Covid safety measures in place within the guest house which gave us confidence from the moment we arrived. There were plenty of options available for breakfast which set us up fully for our days out. This included cold and hot drinks, cereal choices and a range of other hot food to choose from. Neil offered us useful advice on walking routes that would suit our capabilities. He had also advised us to book our evening meals in advance of our stay which proved invaluable as the town was particularly busy over the weekend period during our stay. In summary, just a great place to stay for a break in Keswick.

A very pleasurable stay for 3 nights over Bank Holiday weekend. Neil and Theresa made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. They provided us with lots of advice on the local area such as best gluten free places to eat which was invaluable. The gluten free breakfasts were the best we have ever had. The little touches such as gluten free lemon cake and fudge we came back to in our rooms were very special. Overall it couldn't have been a more perfect stay.

Love coming here on holiday. Neil and Theresa are always the perfect hosts. The B&B is spotlessly clean with a great breakfast menu too suit everybody including coeliac. If you have any questions about walks and tourist attractions Neil and Theresa are a mine of information. There is still hand sanitizing on entry and masks on the stairwell ,unless exempt. The House is only minutes from the town centre and local amenities. There are plenty of places to eat and drink. Looking forward to next year.

We received a very warm welcome from the owners of Leonard's Field House, Neil and Theresa. The entire place is immaculately kept and the rooms are cosy and comfortable with attention to detail. We felt that Neil and Theresa really think carefully about what their guests may need, not only with the amenities and the fantastic freshly cooked breakfasts, but also with the wealth of information on the surrounding areas. Located a short 5/10 minute walk away from the centre of Keswick with free on-road parking, we would have no hesitation in recommending Leonard's Field House for it's location, extremely well-kept accommodation, and the most welcoming and friendly hosts. Thank you Neil and Theresa for a great 3 night stay! Sharon & Barrie.

How lovely it is to stay with Neil & Theresa, from their warm welcome to the scrupulously clean cosy rooms. No worries about allergic asthma events as there are no cats or dogs in the guest house.
They are so well organised, they have all the COVID rules interpreted in a safe and sensible way.
The breakfasts are excellent with lots of choice for gluten free diets, including the best gluten free sausage I have ever had.
They can also provide gluten free packed lunches for taking on your walks.
I look forward to returning as soon as Theatre by the Lake reopens.

I stayed here recently for 7 nights and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Neil and Theresa were very accommodating and helpful hosts at all times. The breakfasts were really good with more tea and toast available if required (I’m sure coffee would be too 😉) My room overlooked the road at the front but the sound of traffic was negligible even with the window open. There was plenty of storage space in my room and the facilities were as you would expect. It was just a 5 minute walk down into town, 10 minutes down to the lake and the same to Booths for shopping or the bus station if you are looking to travel around by bus which I did leaving my car parked outside the B & B. I’m looking forward to another stay here in August which I had booked prior to this visit and I’m more than happy to return.

We have stayed here many times and we won't stay anywhere else, peaceful, quiet and clean, it's our little haven of the lakes. Rooms are clean and comfortable everything you need. Breakfast are delicious and sets us up for the day. Leonard's field house is just minutes away from the town of Keswick, where you will find plenty of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Thankyou both for a fantastic few days, it was just what we needed. Neil and Theresa are so friendly, kind and knowledgeable of the area, they work so hard to make you feel welcome.

Visited Keswick during The Mountain Festival and had to change Guest Houses due to a lack of availability. Neil and Theresa managed to fit us in at the last minute. The B&B is very comfortable and the owners are the perfect hosts. Breakfast is cooked to order with local produce and very tasty. Theresa left home made fudge and cake in our room which was a lovely touch. We hope to book again. Thank you.
