Our family have just returned from a stay at Low Briery in one of their caravans. The location, the site ,the staff and the accommodation was excellent and far exceeded our expectations,we would love to return in the future.
I love this place. Stayed for a couple of nights I one of the river side pods. Can't fault it. Great little base for walking. Nice quiet site. This is our 4th visit and small improvements every time we go makes every visit better. Staff at reception are friendly and really helpful . The one thing that i would suggest (not a major issue for me) is to improve the WiFi signal at the end of the site where we were. Other than that another perfect stay and the weather was absolutely fantastic. We will definitely be back. Thank you
Third time I have stayed here and it was great again. Previously stayed in Riverside lodges which are fantastic. Balconies by the river, spotlessly clean and well equipped lodges. This time we stayed in the camping pod. Despite being more basic (and cheaper) they were again very clean and had everything we needed. Very comfortable and great balcony on the river with a hanging porch which we could sit under in the rain and stay reasonably dry. Great location too. Only negative was the WiFi. It didn’t work at all for us but there was a notice to say the are working on it so hopefully will be improved on soon. Looking forward to our next stay.
This lodge is absolute luxury. It has absolutely everything you may need. Even a pizza tray and pizza cutter. The bed was really comfortable, as were the pillows. The only this I would add to the lodge would be a coat hanger rack / coat stand in each of the walk in wardrobes. Other than that, we would certainly recommend this lodge in particular as there is no need to walk up the quite steep slope from the rest of the park / reception, to the exit gate for access to the wonderful flat pathway to Keswick. Obviously this is only a concern for anyone with reduced mobility, there are 5 steps up to the lodge but it has handrails on both sides. We will certainly be back again.
We stayed in a luxury lodge overlooking the river lodge was excellent except for one thing the master bedroom walk in wardrobe was full of the owners stuff so we couldn't use the hanging space or shelves which is a bit disappointing when you pay £859 pounds for the week so we had to use the wardrobe in the second bedroom otherwise we had a good week but wouldn't book that loge again Stuart and carol
Just back after a 4 night stay our accommodation was the high spy Lodge and it did not disappoint. The park is a couple of minutes from Keswick by car and a 30mins walk along the rail path. The lodge was lovely and had two large bedrooms both with en suite, cosy lounge with two 2 seater couches and a dining table for six, kitchen was also lovely with everything you need. Negatives, well not many but important WiFi is pretty poor and both rooms could do with a chest of drawers as there is plenty of room for them in the large walk in wardrobes. All in all would definitely visit again
Amazing weekend staying in haystack Lodge. Everyone said 'wow' when we arrived. We have stayed at a few lodges in places but this certainly was luxury. They had thought of everything. The decor, finishing touches, equipped brilliantly even down to having tupperware boxes so we could take a picnic with us on walks. The sound of the river and the surroundings added to the experience. We will certainly be back!
We have visited a couple of time now, stayed in Riverside Cottages each time. Lovely cottage nice outlook over the river. Plenty of room for the dogs and a private outside space, not sure how many units have this. We are going back for Christmas thought it would be a lovely retreat. The walks are fantastic of course in the lake district and as my walking is limited especially love the railway track walk very flat and very enjoyable.
Stayed for 3 nights the weekend before the jubilee lovely weather same clean and tidy standard we have come to expect no issues whatsoever :)! Can't wait to go back in october :)! The doggos love the outside and are done after a day. Love the railway walk and great location
Just had a great week's stay at Low Briery staying in this lodge. The three ensuite rooms were excellent with comfy beds so had great sleep. The lodge was well equipped and modern. The veranda was the full length of the lodge and excellent for toddlers to play with plenty outdoor seating the village is clean and well maintained and the staff really helpful as always. Cannot recommend this place enough for quiet comfortable accommodation. The walks along the old railway are excellent you can straight into Keswick.
