Our family consisting of 5 couples stayed at Brackenrigg from 9-16 November 2018 and found it to be the perfect place for our get together. We arrived mid afternoon and the house was ready and waiting, keys in the door. As each couple arrived they were given the guided tour of

I will just let the photographs illustrate for themselves in this over rated, poorly maintained, tired and dirty venue. We had a most difficult time with the owner when seeking the very basics. The two venues we had here were seriously lacking the professional welcoming touches

I am disappointed with your review, and would like to invite you to come again, and stay for a 2 night break in one of our smaller cottages this winter (November 2018 to February 2019) free of charge to reassure you how clean, warm and comfortable our cottages actually are. The Visit Britain inspector who did our annual inspection shortly after your visit confirmed all the accommodation was extremely clean. To address a few of you points & photos; we chatted on several occasions, and you appeared very happy. I helped with your bags, provided extra touches on request such as extra individual hand towels for your lunch guests, flowers from the garden as a table decoration etc. You later told me, whilst we were chatting, your lunch for various your Russian based religious sect had gone really well. You asked my gardener for extra cleaning materials as you’d pulled the chimney balloon out of the disused flue in the ceiling above the hob, causing old ash to cover the kitchen….does this explain some of the 'dirt' on the tiling, hob, and sink? I’m disappointed that you didn’t bring up any issues with me at the time (I'm quite friendly, and don't bite!), & can only apologise if the House didn't meet you needs. ps someone left a sheaf of papers relating to your church sect matters - can you let me know where you'd like these forwarded, as I don't have your address.
