Right on the C2C route with a secure place for our bikes. We received a warm welcome and good advice on where to eat in Penrith. Our bed was very comfortable so we had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was amazing with everything you could imagine on offer and lovely coffee.

I stayed here with my family the first week of Sept/16 and we found the owners to be so welcoming and accommodated our needs. The breakfast was lovely and the rooms were comfortable. I commend them on the beds, as we all slept soundly and comfortably. Absolutely lovely couple. They assisted us on where to go each day and made... More

Made very welcome here during our Coast to Coast cycle. Comfortable rooms and hearty breakfast to get us on our way. Excellent location and easy parking. Town centre within easy walking distance for pubs and restaurants but evening meal available " in house"

My family and I stayed here for a night on the way to Scotland. I've never stayed in a guest house, I usually stay in hotels, so I wasn't quite sure initially but it was lovely. It's the same almost as being a guest in someone's house as the name suggests!!! Nick was v welcoming and took time tell us... More

We stayed at the Acorn Guest House for one night on the way back to London from a driving holiday in Scotland. We arrived a bit before the official check in time and were delighted with the warm welcome that we received from the owner Nick. The parking is just outside of the door - very convenient! The rooms were... More

Stayed for three nights with my two teenage children. Nick met us at the station and both he and Karen were delightful hosts during our stay. They suggested lots of things to do locally for all of us and if we had any problems at all they were quick to put things right. Lovely breakfasts which kept us going on... More

Very friendly welcome, clean bright rooms, and a first class breakfast pre-ordered so no delay, handy parking front and rear, it's only a short walk into Penrith centre where you can find many places to eat although there's a great fish and chip shop only a few hundred yards away. All the usual amenities and a bar in the lounge... More

We stayed here over the weekend, lovely guest house and extremely friendly and easy going owners. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. We had a few drinks in the bar/ lounge, very relaxed and were given places to walk and where to go. Breakfast was tasty, husband had the full english both mornings and gave a thumbs up for the sausages!... More

Stayed at the Acorn for 2 nights. Had a lovely warm welcome from the owners. They were really helpful in finding a place for me to get some spa treatments for my Birthday! I loved staying there and breakfast was really nice.
