My partner and I stayed here for my birthday and it was excellent. Lovely log fires, beautiful decor, nice comfortable atmosphere. The staff were excellent, nothing was to much trouble. Our room was great, it had a bath, shower, robes, towels, tea and coffe, mineral water, ironing board and iron and Tv. We had a lovely meal in the dining...

We were coming to Penrith for a conference and really took pot luck with the hotel. We arrived to such a pretty reception with all the fairy lights for Christmas. Our room was extremely clean with comfortable beds. We ate in the hotel and the dinner was very good with excellent service. The walk into Penrith took about 20 minutes...

This is a perfect place to stay while visiting the lakes. Great executive room and the hotel has a lovely pool to relax in. We felt prices were very fair and the restaurant served delicious food and catered for my vegetarian other half. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful in recommending what to do each day.

Just returned from a fabulous 2 night stay at the North Lakes hotel. I can't rate the hotel highly enough. From the comfortable, well appointed bedroom with ESPA products, portion of local toffee, in room fridge (with real milk) and great coffee machine to delicious food and best customer service I have ever experienced. I have to say the customer...

We stayed at the North Lakes hotel this weekend for 2 nights as we were attending a wedding locally. We made a fab choice! The whole experience was friendly, welcoming and 5 star facilities at this 4 star hotel made it even more of an amazing treat. We ate at the restaurant on Friday night, the menu was varied and...

Will not be back. Room was dark and tired. Renovation works were taking place so it felt like I was walking thorough a building site to get to my room. Need to stay in this area regularly on business and have found much nicer places that are better value. Food took a long time to arrive at dinner too.

The latest phase of our refurbishment works were completed before the summer. It may be worth giving us another try to see if you approve of what we've done, we certainly think the works make us great value for money. Kind regards

When we first saw the hotel, my heart sank as it is an unattractive building close to the M6. However, once inside we quickly realised that the hotel's interior was cozy, clean and very inviting. A roaring open fire with a log basket, sofa seating and a high beamed ceiling immediately gave the impression of a welcoming country hotel. We...

Stayed here again for just one night. The bedroom has recently been refurbished to a high standard so is nicely decorated with a large TV and a very comfortable bed. The duvet could have been wider. Unfortunately the bathrooms have not been refurbished and my basin had dodgy taps ! An excellent spa and having travelled down from the north...

Thanks for the review George, much appreciated. Some bathrooms have been refurbished whilst others just had a makeover, however they're all vastly improved, sorry about the dodgy taps though, we'll get maintenance right onto it! Hope to see you again soon. Kind regards

Four of us recently had lunch from the lounge menu and we all enjoyed our meals. My burger and chips were small but tasty. I would have likes a side salad with it but that would have been an additional cost. The atmosphere is friendly and the decor to a good standard. Our surprise came when the bill of just...

Thanks for taking the time to post a review. I am pleased that you enjoyed our facilities, but equally sorry that you felt our prices high. I can assure you that we are competitively priced in the 4* market and very much hope that our service supports this. Kind regards

Stayed 3 nights on business. The setting and exterior made my heart sink as we approached but I quickly changed my mind once inside. My room was great. When were you last given fresh milk in the mini fridge? And it was not stiflingly warm as hotel rooms so often are. The interior was well designed and I love the...

Thanks for the lovely review, glad you enjoyed the facilities. I remember the pigeon dish you refer to from our daily dishes, served with sweet potato mash and crispy quails egg. It proved very popular, and I'm disappointed that it left you still hungry. Of course I'll pass your feedback on to chef and hope to welcome you back at...
