Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very friendly and welcoming the staff could not do enough for you. For instance local information regarding places to eat was helpfully provided . Also road closure updates for travellers. Spotlessly clean. Extra pillows were provided, no problem to get tea and coffee topped up.

This Travelodge is located just off Jct 40 on the M6, and is ideal for an overnight to break a journey North or Southbound. Comfy bed and a KFC and a Greggs close by. If staying longer, handy for North Lakes, Penrith - even Carlisle.

Stayed for a few nights during Easter. Room was spacious and clean but cozy.. Comparing to other traveloge hotels the staff in this one is really helpful and friendly. This place is a good base for exploring the northern part of the Lake District.

Our preferred stop over between south west and Scotland. Very warm welcome from cheerful and helpful staff for whom nothing seems to be too much trouble. Room was clean warm and well equipped for our needs. Fully up to expectations. Although the hotel was full there was no noise inside or out. Only drawback is lack of eating facilities. The adjacent Burger King and Greggs are basic, tired and uninviting but there are other options available.

It was easy to find late at night and provided a quick departure in the morning. Clean, comfortable and surprisingly spacious. Parking was a bit quirky but ok. Room was quiet even though the Travelodge was busy.

As titled - small things make a difference. In this case it is staff. They are amazing. So friendly, chatty and smiling all the time. They all making sure you have a fantastic stay. The room is basic but clean. And to be fair that's all you need to have a good stay - clean room and caring staff. Thank you and see you again!

Good overnight stop on a journey from Scotland to the South, just a couple of minutes from the M6. Clean and comfortable. Staff very welcoming on arrival and provided local info on dinner possibilities and even a list of takeaways who would deliver. Also dog friendly, with a country lane at back of hotel to walk them

Need to try harder with information and service. A lack of information and when asked for an explanation as to the road being closed to the hotel on our first night resulting in having to be escorted through the resurfacing work was told that i should have read the road signs on my way in, an email or being told on arrival may have helped, plus housekeeping did not replace the handsoap as requested.
