Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for 4 nights 16/07-19/07. Its a perfect location for a trip to the lakes, Ullswater and Derwent being a short drive away, and also the amazing Aira Force waterfall. We stayed in our caravan with 3 kids. They made full use of the little play park, and were able to run freely around the site. The owners have done a fantastic job making the site covid secure, with the 2 toilet/shower blocks being cleaned regularly and only opening on an alternating basis. Hand sanitiser was readily available, and they were always on hand to give us reccomedations of where to take the kids. We had a fantastic stay and definitely will be back!

We had 5 fab nights here on the tent field with EH. There was only one other tent on it, and the last night we had it to ourselves!
It’s separate from the caravans and statics, so very quiet with a lovely view (see photo!) The toilet/showers were spotless, with anti bac wipes to use and plenty of hot water and hand sanitizer. Showers were lovely ( no push buttons!) There’s also a short dog walk which takes you to a small wooded area with stream running through. Great value for money.
Would definitely return if holidaying in the Lakes again.

This was our first visit to Beckses Caravan Park but it certainly won't be our last. We stayed in our touring caravan for 13 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The site has a very relaxed, friendly and chilled environment with spotlessly clean facilities, maintained by the friendly owners and staff. We really liked the smaller feel to the site and the high standards maintained. The showers always had plentiful hot water as did the dishwashing facilities. The facilities all had sensibly positioned sanitising stations and anti-bac wipes always available, very well thought out.
We will definitely be back to this charming, lovely well run site. A real credit to the owners and all of the team at Beckses.

Spent 6 days here with family, hired the parks 2 caravans and 1 tent pitch. 11 of us in total.Beautiful site, caravans the cleanest i have ever seen rental caravans
Highly recommend a visit here. The site was so quiet and peaceful even with children playing in the park area.
Excellent base for days out to the surrounding places of beauty and interest.
Being able to still social distance and spend some long awaited time with my family in this perfect setting was lovely (I should have been in florida
With part of my family, but instead I got to spend it here with all of my family) 😊 and the 🌞🌞 was indeed shining for us.
If you are after peace and tranquility in a beautiful setting then this is the place.

Both myself and my wife spent a very pleasant 7 days camping at this family run site. The onsite facilities were very clean and tidy. The location itself was very quiet and perfectly situated for travelling around the North Lakes. The owners (Teasdale's) were the perfect hosts. We will definitely be back in the future.

Lovely little site. Very quiet which we prefer.
Perfect base for exploring the lakes. Facilities are spotless although the showers aren't very powerful but that's just being picky.
There's a little park onsite which my 2 year old son loved!
Spoke to a regular who was our neighbour who told me he had be coming to this site for 17 years! So that it always a good sign.
This is perfect for couples who enjoy the quiet camping life or those with young children. There is much much for older kids though
We stayed in our campervan, but there a camping pods and statics also on site.
There is a village a mile up the road that has a pub. We never tried the pub but it is walkable from the site as there is a sturdy grass verge all the way up to the village.
Definitely will be returning.

Arriving on Tuesday afternoon , we settled in on our new pitch, made a cuppa and then went into Penrith for a couple of food items, then back to the caravan for the rest of the afternoon.
Wednesday morning in the Van , to Ullswater for a boat trip on one of the steamers which was
pleasant and interesting, although being sunny it was a little windy. We had made a couple of sandwiches to have after the boat trip, sitting outside on a park bench watching the small sailing craft , canoes and wet boards all enjoying the fabulous weather that we were having. There are many many outdoor activity centre's around this area and along others.
Well Thursday we went into Keswick, had a good look around the little town bought some little pressie's for our friends, had a coffee in again one of many coffee establishments, found the brewery,BUT be aware it's open only from 2pm 5x a week.
We then drove to Windemere and upon getting there found a lack o parking,we turned around coming back to The Kings Inn, Grasmere for a bite of luncheon.
After having been fed and watered we travelled back to the Van.
Friday we have to travel homeward but never mind,Well done to the Lake District for making our stay so welcoming, pleasant and with cracking weather i think that we'll try to come back soon.

Stayed here while the 2021 Keswick Mountain Festival was on. Easy access to the site (just off the M6/A66) and within 20 minutes of Keswick and Matterdale/Ullswater.
The site was nice and quiet when we were there and the facilities were lovely and clean. Can't wait to go back again this later this year.

We stayed overnight in the camping pods, which were cosy clean and comfortable. The shower and toilet facilities were extremely clean and showers were hot. Owner was friendly and helpful.
Location is excellent just off the A66 and within 20 minutes drive to Keswick and Ullswater.
Price was competitive and well worth the money.
