What can I say, excellent...... excellent food, excellent room, excellent staff. Rain, snow, shine all in one day, excellent. Also a very nice walk supplied in a leaflet in the rooms. Will be back as soon as possible.

Lovely as always, we visit here quite a lot and we never have a bad word to say the staff are lovely and friendly and nothing is too much trouble, we would highly recommend going here as the food is fantastic, one of the best places to eat around the Lake District :)

Just arrived home after a lovely 1 night stay on the "Sunday Saver" £150 with £64 voucher towards the evening meal so excellent value. Checked in at 3pm and was welcomed by friendly staff and a roaring open fire. A Beautiful oak aroma filled the bar from the logs burning. We were given our room which was the other end...

Are you sure? Are you really sure? A cautionary tale .......on Friday lunchtime, a phone call was made to the Wild Boar and a table was booked for lunch for 2 people on Saturday. Or so we thought! The car park was full which looked promising but arriving in the bar, we found ourselves amongst a wedding party. We went through...

We stayed at The Wild Boar Hotel with friends for a weekend. The hotel was lovely! It was quite quirky and very welcoming with its roaring open fires in the bar area. The setting was just in front of the Wild Boar Woods which were so pretty with much Wild life including deer. The rooms in the hotel were of...

we stayed in room 10. It was a large room with windows running down one side. the bathroom was lovely with a large free standing copper tub - I was lucky in that it rained one afternoon, so the tub was filled, curtains opened, watched the rain beating on the window - BLISS. My sister had room 3 this room...

Visited the Wild Boar Inn whilst on a weekend away. Fantastic restaurant, beautifully presented, brilliant quality of food and very friendly staff, who couldn't be any more helpful. Highly recommended.

Called in to the Wild Boar for Lunch this week, on the recommendation of my parents who visit regularly when in the Lakes. The bar is warm and welcoming with open fires and comfy leather chairs and the staff are friendly. We asked for a table for two and were shown to a table in the bar area near the fire...

We had a great session, clay pigeon shooting in the morning then lunch afterwards. Mike was a great teacher and it was great to do the activity and then be pampered with great food and service at the Wild Boar. Great combination! Would never have found the pub if we hadn't search for the shooting but will certainly be back...
